I recently switched to Amsoil and here is the 2nd analysis on the same oil at 7,000 miles. My first analysis at 5,000 miles had a high level of fuel in the oil, >3%, so I decided to do it again after only 2000 miles to see if the fuel continued to be a problem.

For this sample I drove the car longer, 30 min+ to make sure the oil was at normal operating temperature. In the first sample I had only driven the car for approx 10 – 15 minutes before I took the sample. In the 2nd analysis the fuel is at normal levels however it is now it is showing a high level of Oxide and Nitrate. The original factory air filter was still being used when I took both samples. I posted both results at 5,000 and 7,000 miles. I would appreciate any thoughts.

You should be able to reach 10K with trending as you are doing. Once you know 10K is reachable stay with 10K OCI's. You can reach 50 range on both oxid and nitr as long as your viscosity does not drop too low. Your TBN is still in a good range.
 
This engine is usually so easy on oil, so I'm a surprised that the TBN is not much higher. The rapid rise in nitration & oxidation is unfortunate too.

This oil does not look like Amsoil SSO 0W-30 judging by the much lower calcium content, so is it the older TSO 0W-30? I never did like what I saw of the TSO and always liked what I saw of the SSO. If this is TSO and you haven't stockpiled it, I say change this oil at 10K miles and try using SSO next. If that doesn't hold up well, something about your particular engine is unusual or your driving habits are oil-killing.
 
Dump it out. Just run a 7500 blind mile oci and spend the uoa money on a new oem AF.
 
Just throwing this out there...

You have a brand-new car, that is I'm not mistaken, calls for SM 20-weight oil to be used.

You're using an older, possibly SL-rated 30-weight oil. I really don't want to get into the whole debate, but you MIGHT have warranty hassles IF the dealership/company finds out about the oil used.

You might want to go back to an approved oil for the waranty period. If you really don't care, forget I posted this.
 
This is AMSOIL Series 2000 0w30. I'd definitely switch to SSO if you are interested in extended oil drains. That TBN is a little dissapointing in a Honda 4-cylinder after only 7000 miles.

I think mine was about the same (TBN) after 14,500 miles on a much harder worked honda 4-cyl, albeit on SSO. But my previous run of 9500 miles on Series 2000 also had a similar TBN.

My one note is that it looks like you boiled off the fuel, but note your manganese level of 2. I know that could be background noise, but usually manganese reads 0, or 1 with slight fuel dilution.

With a 2, I imagine your engine is accumulating alot of fuel. What type of driving do you do?

Otherwise, you could run this Series 2000 to 10,000 miles easily. I bet SSO would run ya 15-20k (about your yearly mileage) without a problem either.

Honda engines tend to be really easy on oil, and the new 4-cyl isn't much different AFAIK.
