I recently switched from PP 5w-20 to QSUD 5w-20 in this car and the QSUD seems to be working just fine, so I will make this a permanent switch for as long as QSUD remains cheaper than PP. The one thing that Blackstone flagged in both UOAs was the silicon levels. In the first OC, the filter definitely needed to be changed and so I did, but I was surprised to see the silicon levels increase some. I will check the housing/tubing for a leak and perhaps use some grease on the edges of the filter and the connections. Any thoughts on where the silicon could be coming in would be welcome as well as any other thoughts or comments.

Knowing at what mileage the Universal Averages(UAs) are it's hard to say for sure, but this report does look about as 'average' for your app as them come apparently. The lower Flash Point is 'somewhat' troubling with so little fuel, trace, present. Even with TBN at 4, I wouldn't run this longer on QSUD. I'd try switching to PP 5w-20 for an oil change or two if FP moves any further south. Does QSUD have an Si in it's additive package?

PP sheared almost exactly the same, so i don't see any reason to switch. Stick with 5k OCIs and call it a day.

Gah, that's what I get for posting at 3 AM. Either way, yes, it seems this engine shears down the oils in fairly quick order.
