I changed the oil 750miles after the light started coming on.

Its actually 5qts Pennz Platinum 5 or 10w30 (cant remember) and 1 qt Amsoil 5w40. (My friend gave me a few qts)

Pure One oil filter, still on original air filter.

FP used occasionally.

I'd put in a new air filter and run this oil a max of 7000 miles due to such high wear metals.
Just what i'd do though, in other words..

seems as though Copper has always been elevated.
Not sure what oil OP used prior to this UOA but I suspect it is more the nature of the engine than the oil.

this engine spits copper out. I would stick with gm olm. I haven't seen any evidence that high copper has affected engine life.

The oil changes went like this:

Factory Fill
Pennzoil
Havoline 10w40
Havoline 10w30
Pennzoil Platinum 5w30
5 qt Pennzoil Plat and 1 qt Amsoil 5w40

I tend to agree that the wear numbers are typical for the engine. Its had a pretty easy life lately with mostly all highway miles, and I drive my old for all the short trips. I probably wont let the OLM go any longer than this though.
