I think Matt thinks you mean "delete" by removing it. Which of course will cause the ECM to have a seizure.
On the PSD, you could delete it, unplug the sensor, and not ever get a CEL for it. This is not the case for a gas engine.
If however, you remove it (properly) with a tuner, you can leave the valve in place, so it "looks" legal, it just won't be functional.
