Here is my trusty Chevy truck. Oil filter is Wix 51522, air filter is AEM dryflow, 75092 miles total, no make up oil added. I am all out of old Havoline now (bought 48qts at closeout). Next change starts my Shell stash. Blackstone comments: "Lead continued to improve here and all wear is now low enough to be considered normal. It was a long haul for your 5.3L but everything now checks out fine and we see no signs of any obvious problems developing. We see no reason not to run your next oil a bit longer. Try 7500mi next time and check back for another look at wear. If everything comes back looking good, we'll suggest going even longer then. The oil was in good shape physically and contained no harmful contaminants. The 5.3L that powers your Silverado is looking good!" All oil below is old SM Havoline 5w30 or 10w30 except last column which is Mobil 7500. Don't like the lead & silicon - they are high for the miles. I'd check you air intake plumbing for leaks.

I should have posted universal averages too, sorry. Anyway the universal averages for Si & Pb are 13 and 9 respectively - so there really is no issue there.

It wouldn't hurt but with the Al, Cr, and Fe that low it's not abrasive silicon coming in through intake probably. I would consider substituting a couple of quarts of a 40 wt. in with that 30 wt just to see if the Lead will come down. Looks like the truck is a winner.
