'04 Camry 4 cylinder...Timing Chain?

My buddy has an '04 Camry 2.4 L 4cyl and his daughter also has an '06 Scion tC with the same engine. Do these engines have the timing chain? I beleive they do but, not sure. He was asking since the tC is new to them so he brought up the question.

Yes, they have a timing chain. My sister is looking at buying a 2003 Camry with 2.4 and that was the first thing I researched about the car.

ditto! If it's the NA-based 2.4L (LE or LXE),then it must be the 2AZ-FE variety (my wifey has one) and it's on chain.
