Ouch!!!

Oil: Pennzoil platinum 5w30
Oil filter: Amsoil

Irons up a bit.
Really cold, harsh winter.
6 month run time.
Hoping iron goes back down next run.
Also at oil change discovered an unnoticed oil leak, checked oil and was not showing on stick; maybe this had something to do with it as well?

43 ppm on a vehicle with 238,000 miles on a 7,900 mile OCI is absolutely nothing to worry about, especially when no two consecutive UOAs and oil changes used the same fluid.

No oil showing on the stick? Considering that, the UOA looks great. Get the leak fixed or switch to Maxlife red bottle (what I'd do). Make sure it's topped off before any further UOA experiments. With 240k, I'd be saving my money and forgo any more UOA's.

Have you identified where the leak is coming from?

If no oil was showing on the stick then I'd say you correctly diagnosed the elevated iron count. I'd caution you here: the k24 is proving to be a very reliable engine, however, if run low on oil there have been reports of timing chain tensioner failure and/or chain failure (skipping teeth). Since this is an interference engine, such failure can lead to catastrophic top end damage, bent valves, et al with the corresponding, tear inducing, bill. Again, durability and reliability issues with this engine are few and far between, but those that are noted relate to the chain tensioner/timing chain and lack of lubrication.

Be vigilant checking the oil level until you get the leak sorted.

Always good to see your reports (since I have a similar K24) and great to see the TSX humming along @ 240k.

Thanks all for comments

Garak:
first 200,000 i was very consistent with amsoil 5w30, however since i discovered this website i have become more curious :). Plus I've been acquiring free oil (not all matching) lately, i use this oil in the summer months; still try to use a high quality syn in the winter.

K24a4:
Went over, with Acura tech, a few things that i can easily service and a few i will most likely take in. Hoping to get car in the air today and locate. Already bought vtech solenoid gasket just in case i get lucky.

No makeup oil was added and last checked about two weeks before oil change; It was at the half way mark. 7500 miles is typically this cars limit before i need to add oil.

Also hope to get transmission results back tomorrow. Sump dump with about 33,000 miles on it.

There's nothing wrong with that at all. Just don't allow anyone to sway your choices based upon variations in various PPM because you're not really able to get a trended analysis here.
