Blackstone flagged Silicon and Copper but they said the silicon was from the new engine breaking in and not dirt and the silicon has really dropped since the last UOA. Copper has also really dropped. Averages show nomal wear after 3-4,000 miles on the LS1.

Overall I'm very happy with this report as the car is really pushed hard and driven aggressively so I figured the wear metals would be higher. Seems the $3 quart Schaeffer oil works very well in my application. Also this batch here is the thickest yet with a Cst of 10.8.

Comments Welcomed!!!

Also the low insolubles count of .2% was very good showing very complete combustion. I always use 93 Exxon. A month ago I had my LS1 Wideband Dynotuned to correct the Air/Fuel ratio and fuel timing. The A/F ratio was spot in throughout the rev range so this may account for the very low insolubles count.

Nice report! Irons is incredible. Looks very good. Stayed in grade too. No TBN?

Yes very normal for the cu, and si. Great report. Obviously you could have gone further. Well probably-yes where is the TBN??

Very nice! The wear is coming down nicely compared to the previous report, so hopefully the next one will continue the trend. Even with the high silicon the wear numbers are decent, but I wonder how much better they'd be if you went with a paper filter?

Every time I see a Schaeffer's report-I want to change oil.

I have the Schaeffer's Pure Syn in my Sentra which needs to go another 1500 miles (7000 mile run) and my son's Cavalier which needs to go another 3K to get to 11,000 miles.

I have already run that length with the Schaeffer's. I plan on putting the 10W-30 Blend in both cars and then compare it with the Pure Syn. One problem though is that I don't think the Blend will go 11000 miles

Around mid October I'll have 10k on a Schaeffer's 15w-40 #700 Supreme blend. The post will be seen here first.

Its a automobile diesel ,VW TDI,application but it should demonstrate the blends ability to go the distance.

I'll have to follow that one carefully

IKen: It's really a bad thing. It doesn't need changine

I wish we would get more reports on the Supreme. I know Bob used to post some from his customers. I suppose he doesn't want to post any due to agreements with Schaeffers .
