Towed a 5x8, 2000 lb van trailer from TX to GA, peak amb temperature hit 105 along the way.

I am guessing the tow duty beat down the viscosity?

Blackstone did not flag it, but I am really not sure about that Silicon. I will check the duct clamps, etc.

Regarding the silicon, did you perhaps use an air filter with a hard plastic rather than soft rubbery border?

I went from an OEM looking cotton fiber style Purolator (Chinese made) to a Fram looking, single layer, rigid frame, but with foam gasket Purolator (Chinese made). I had thought the new one would seal better but I guess I am wrong about that.

I started using MMO in fuel. Does it have silicon in it?

Obviously you changed oil too soon. If you left it in longer, results might be better.

Beautiful results. Another exceptional report from Pennzoil Platinum. This oil always surprises me with the results.

This oil could have been ran a lot longer, btw.

PP seems to be getting more and more Ca with each reformulation. All oils were PP except for the first one which was M1EP.
