A drain & refill of 3 quarts has been performed at every sample interval. The magnet is always cleaned. AMSOIL ATF was used at the latest D&R. I plan on doing a D&R every 3k miles for the next few intervals. ~ 95% of original factory fill is gone.

No shifting problems. Fluid level is good.

The radiator pressure tested fine. The coolant level has not dropped since the last change. This is checked after being stone cold in my garage in the same spot at pretty much the same temperature.

3 quarts out of capacity????

Looks good. Several 3k changes will help rinse out tranny.

Flash up. Visc up. Total wear PPMs down. Additive package looks a little wierd. Glycol gone. Thats the power of lab inaccuracy.

Trace insolubles? Any aftermarket filter? Sorry, too lazy to dig up the previous threads.

The Al has been trending higher, & the AMSOIL did nothing to slow it down or reverse the trend. I'm going to do 2 more 3k mile D&R with ATF and go from there.

Somehow I didn't see this thread earlier - and the tranny hasn't been shifting any differently??? I'm not sure any fluid will slow the demise

I guess the only way to find out is to go back to Z1, which I am sure will again take a few drain and refills to get all the Amsoil fluid out.

Is it even possible the Amsoil fluid and Z1 didn't 'mix' well together ?

I don't plan on going back to the Z1 stuff.

There are no leaks either (sign of carrier bearings going south) - the undercarriage is still clean.

Torque Converter lining and linear solenoid failure is common in these units as well. I have a feeling that the increasing Al might be signaling that one of them is beginning to fail.

I would disagree. There was an "event" sometime during 2007 that caused a bump in the night but it has trended down since then with AMSOIL ATF & now RLI ATF (shown in later UOAs).
