I just drained the fluid on my E350s DANA 3.55 differential. I decided to check the backlash and it looks like there's about .010-.011" depending how hard I push and pull on the ring gear. I checked it in vehicle with the spindles pulled out, drive shaft still connected. Am I likely to hurt anything leaving it as is?

That seems about right. The spec. I found for a Dana 60 thru 70 is .006 to .010, so you're right there. Leave it alone unless there are other problems. Once it breaks in and takes a set, you don't want to change it, as that moves the contact area slightly.

Thanks, I'll probably put the heavier weight 80 140 in there and call it good then.
