Sounds like your going for a 2 row SUV? Subaru Forester has a very large cabin and trunk. It also checks the AWD and efficiency boxes.

I would just manage total combined weight. If you dont have any rear seat passengers and a fully load cabin you probably have some headroom that makes a 1500lb trailer manageable.

I put KYB on our Forester, they have been fine. I agree with prev post, price is a factor. Looks like $100 for OE, $60 for Bilstein, $50 for KYB. I would go Bilstein for $60.

Agree and on a Saturday or Sunday as a DIYer even worse. Its faster to install new ones and the marginal savings isnt worth it for me. Maybe if a new rotor was >$100...

Sounds fixable, that is all bolt on parts. Just because it is deemed Financially a Total Loss does not mean it isnt fixable. I would have someone look at it and get an estimate to fix it.

I did 2 of our fleet last year with Bosch Quiet cast pads and rotors. Both have performed really well 10/10 reccomended.
