    Thanks for all the help everyone, I'll stick to my current plan and when I see a deal on a 0w20 synthetic Ill take the opportunity to stock up. I now have some confidence changing the oil for the first time in a new car, that was daunting at first haha.

    Thanks everyone. I believe the required spec is API SN, but I know I certainly feel better with the "better or premium" product. Ive always been afraid to use store brand and plus, M1 has been good to me. Im not sure if saving the 8-5$ on a different product will have any effect long term

    Yes, its treated me very well and saved me a lot of money over the years. I jumped into a new car because the 06 began to really show its age in repairs, although it never left me stranded once.
