Ew, that sucks. Mine was covered under vehicle extended warranty (CR-V).

Most likely condenser. We had the compressor shaft recall done and then the next summer, it wasn't cooling like it should, like before. Took it back in and condenser was leaking, fixed under extended warranty.

Soy based insulation has been around a while. I had a Ford Fusion in 2015 get rodent damage with. I bought 2 little jars of cayenne pepper from dollar store and sprinkled it liberally around the engine bay. Never had another issue after that.
