Got a hold of Blackstone and they did get the oil results mixed up. Unfortunately I waited too long to get ahold of them and they had already dumped my sample, I did get a refund though.

I am gonna get a hold of Blackstone and see if they gave me the wrong results. I have never run Amsoil OE before and was a little surprised about how much additive was in it.

I have Kendall 5w30 in it now. I also did not add any additives.and I used a kia oil filter.

I thought I had seen some copper looking flakes in the oil drain pan but maybe not. Anyone know what’s up with the iron in this sample? Little less miles than last time but higher 🧐

I have a small stock of the old Kendall 5w20 GT1 max w/titanium. Which I am sure will be fine in single digit weather.

Whats a good start up flowing 5w20 for Colorado winters? Are the differences between brands of the same weight even that negligible?

I assume the lower the number the better the oil will pump on start up in cold weather?

This is the old formula of the Kendall with the titanium. Replaced oil with Valvoline Extended Protection 5W30. Any one have any oil recommendations for this engine? Its the 2.0 liter Nu MPI non turbo.

Same oil went in, will do a longer interval this time. This is the old formula with the ti.

Put the 5w30 flavor in my kia forte last weekend. Plan on doing a uoa of it and maybe a voa with the left over.
