Does Anyone Have Healthcare Insurance Outside Of Work ?

You should be really careful if you plan on going self insured. When I started shopping for a plan on my own it was incredibly confusing and almost impossible to decipher the small print. Some states have people (here they call them navigators) to help you compare and figure out what plan you...

    NOACK - Carbon Build up - A40?

I’m so glad my Toyota has D4S. Back on the late 80’s we had cold start stalling on Volvos with the B230 engine. Massive intake valve deposits would soak up the gas on the first squirt in the AM. We used walnut shells back then and I will say the valve was shiny clean after.

    Chevy full floating axle

I don’t see it being much less than .010 considering the hub bearing isn’t preloaded. I agree with the red herring diagnosis.

    Chevy full floating axle

I’m just making sure I know what the OP is working on. What if he was mistaken and it was a 9.5 with a semi floating axle? I know what an AAM 10.5 is, the OP may not.

Just to be clear, this is a tapered double roller bearing hub with an inner and outer bearing?

    Chevy full floating axle

Did you measure the other side? Maybe swap the left and right side axles/hubs and see if the runout stays on the same side? If it does I would have to say it’s the housing. Ten thousands of an inch isn’t much but if your truck has 20” inch wheels it would be a lot more as the circumference...

    LED lighting. Preferred color temp.

The fixtures I bought in my home have a switch on them to change the temp. It’s like 2700-5500, you can change it any time.

    2024 Dodge Charger Revealed

Rumor is there will be a 4th gen Hemi engine as well. We’ll see. I like the 2 door but it should be called the Challenger IMO.

    Michelin tires

I’ve seen “EV” tires on the Tire Rack lately, maybe the harmonics are tuned differently? Honda puts these noise cancellation chambers inside the wheels. This one is off an Accord, stamped with “215hz”.

    What is this part called?

I always questioned the effectiveness of a headlamp washer with no wiper. My wife had a Saab 9/3 convertible that had little tiny wipers along with the squirters.

    Michelin tires

That’s a statement I thought I would never hear. Certain Good Year tires get kudos in some areas but generally I’ve been disappointed with every set except the Ultra Terrain’s (a Discount Tire exclusive) that I have on my truck now. I bought them because of a Labor Day deal and am pleased with...

    Single mass flywheel questions

If you’re looking for it you will notice the difference but it will vary from car to car. My last Subaru had much smoother take off engagement with the DM and that’s all I really noticed besides a tad of gear rattle in hot weather when idling in neutral.

    Michelin tires

I purchased my first set ever of Continental’s. I bought the Pure Contact LS for the 300. I am completely satisfied and I am a “tire snob”. They handle more like an UHP than a Gran Tour tire. For my particular car they seem to be well suited. I wonder how they would perform on the Tesla...

Due to staff shortage the self-checkout is closed

The scale knows exactly what your item should weigh. My local grocery store, the cyber woman freaks if you put a bag on the bagging area. They also have a camera watching. Im sure to fly the bird at the camera at each visit and every time “she” accuses me of being dishonest. The clerk comes...

Wet Dual Clutch Transmission, long-term reliability (particularly Hyundai - Kia)

The Germans know how to make a DCT. I always enjoyed driving a VW or an Audi with one and they seemed to hold up well too. I’d recommend not being the beta tester for that Hyundai trans. It could turn out stellar but the track record with Theta and PU engines has me skeptical.
