    Longer Purolator filters

If the threads are the same (both M20?)....the L20073 is about an inch and a quarter longer. I used these on my Nissan Sentra SER SpecV with the 2.5L.

    Royal purple oil?

I ran the RP XPR 0w-10 just to experiment in my Sentra with the 2.5 litre. My engine didn't blow up and at 5000 miles Blackstone said report back at 10,000 miles. Otherwise it's kinda expensive. I've currently got Mobil 1 0w-20 Advanced Fuel Economy in my '07 Dodge Dakota 3.7 litre. Also...

    Royal purple oil?

Yeah, it was the XPR 0w-10. I ran it in the summer and into the fall. I posted the UOA here. It should still be here.

    Royal purple oil?

I had very good results with RP 0w-10 in my '02 Nissan Sentra SER SpecV.

    Widman viscosity graph

Well now, that changes everything. I'm not surprised at my error. I was attempting to cross reference using the viscosity chart. Thanks a bunch for the numbers.

    Widman viscosity graph

I'm still amazed by this, thus exposing my poor knowledge of oil properties. Royal Purple 0w-10 is designed for high temps, i.e., drag racing(doh!)... or summer driving. I'm back to PP 0w-20.

    Widman viscosity graph

http://www.widman.biz/Seleccion/Viscosidad/Conversiones/Graph/graph.html I plugged the numbers in for my last oil fill, RP 0w-10, and it shows the RP to be a very thick oil at lower temps. Even thicker than the conventional oil I listed or even Mobil1 0w-40. the numbers really surpised me...

Royal Purple 0w10, 5000 miles, 02 Sentra SpecV

I have a question. Why would the RP 0w-10 appear to be the thicker oil at lower temps? I crossed referenced the SUS viscosity from the BITOG viscosity chart and I think that would put the RP at about cST 48 at 40 degrees C. Did I do that right? The graph shows the RP as heavier than the YB...

Royal Purple 0w10, 5000 miles, 02 Sentra SpecV

It was very cold out when I changed this oil. I idled the car for a bit to warm up the oil. I'm guessing this is where the fuel came from. I ran this oil from April 08 to Feb. 09. The car now has Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 in it.
