Just clueless; military mobilization unexpected so soon

I’ve never been so clueless than today, really. It’s like 9 at night not feeling like i can sleep tonight. I do feel like venting though. Nothing much better i can do. I came back home earlier in December, signed up for college and all that stuff, and now instead of moving into the dorm, I got...

    Need an oil filter

Who has a decent oil filter for tsi ea888.3? I would use fram ultra but not sure about the quality of their paper cartridge filters, all I can say is that the spin on filters are of excellent quality.

I'm using this as a maintenance wax on top of my original layer of sealant because i had it under a car cover. So do i like spray this stuff all over the car or like one or two sprays per panel? It was cheap is why I bought it , was in the clearance bin at walmart for 3 dollars.

I put socket rails in my toolbox tray

After a very long time of random sockets that I accumulated over the years, adapters, and so fourth started to pile the top tray of my portable mechanic shop tool box that has done pretty much every job possible besides full rebuilds of an engine or transmission it was time for some socket rails...

    Installed speaker amplifier

Its been months probably since I worked on any vehicle whatsoever, I installed this amplifier in the old jetta since the head unit was not enough and got tired putting up with it for a while. It’s a crunch 4 channel which puts out 125w for four ohm speaker, more than enough for quality audio. I...

    Exterior plastic gel reccomendations

So my new GLI, which has only seen 200 miles since I got it 6ish months ago, will be seeing more miles in around 7 months. I want to make sure all the exterior plastics are preserved, so what's a good exterior protectant for plastics? The most extreme shine possible and somewhat lasts in rain...

    Cars you don't care about

I want to get a cheap car that I probably don't care about just to abuse it. I want to do this because I want to make a video just abusing the car by using non detergent oil in it, along with just doing stupid stuff and then tearing the engine down to see the Havok I have caused. I was thinking...

    Finally synthetic 15w40

Now that Rotella T4 and T6 are the same price , I am now running 15w40 T6 synthetic in my 2.0 mk6 Jetta. I ran regular t4 at 7,500ish miles every oci since I purchased this car at 112,000ish miles. I did notice there were only fram filters with the screen mesh for most of the filters there at...

    2014 2.0 jetta burning oil

Im not sure where to start, I don't think there is a PCV vale either, and no leaks. I am guessing neglect from previous owner (car fax shows 12-15 thousand mile intervals). The car is at 128,400 as we speak, the oil was changed 6,000 miles ago with rotella t4 15w40. I don't think the piston...

How to install trans cooler on Honda Odyssey 2006

I just got done installing a transmission cooler along with flashing the ecu to disable vcm on the Honda Odyssey. Installing a transmission cooler seems to be a recommended upgrade. All you are doing is disconnecting the return line going into the radiator, not too complicated Cooler used...

    5th drain and fill

Just completed my 5th drain and fill on the mk6 jetta, all around 2 thousand miles apart but could be closer, according to carfax maintenance log I use. I used my leftover universal Castrol transmax atf, and it seems to work just fine. The fluid was starting to get a red tint to it by the 4th...

    Honda Odyssey Upgrade!

I ordered me a transmission cooler for the odyssey, it is a Hayden cooler. I might also take the filter out of the housing on top of the transmission and install an inline filter because of the hard to reach area. Will be installing it after I install an AISIN timing belt kit.
