I noticed the new ST "Advanced" FS with a blue label. It was $19 iirc. As I said earlier I am seriously thinking about starting at least a small stash and keep it rotated.

I have been hearing about some bull called a "mile tax" where instead of paying taxes on gas, you pay for each mile you drive. Is this what you're referring to?

Is the 'Lifelong' FS considered Havoline's HM FS line?

At the rate things are going I think I may just start stashing enough oil/filter combos for several changes. Possibly just the cheapest HM FS I can get my hands on and the cheapest filter with the exception of the Fram "OCOD" as folks call it. Maybe start grabbing ST FS HM and Motorcraft...

Same prices here. I considered getting the ST FS HM again but they only had 2 filters in stock... Fram orange, or the M1 EP filter for $10. I had been running ST and Motorcraft OEM filter, but they were out of stock.

Would I be correct in assuming the above? If the M1 EP HM holds up well for 1 year/ less than 10k miles in the Vulcan V6, then it may actually save me $$ vs doing changes twice per year. I usually go to the tire shop down the street and pay them $20 to do the change and rotate the tires. So...

Do you notice a difference in the way the engine runs? The difference between Havoline HM SB 5w20 and ST HM FS 5w30 is like night and day, much, smoother. I'm not sure if it was going from a SB to FS, going from 5w20 -> 5w30, or a combo of the two. I'm thinking I'll probably stick to the ST HM...
