    Purolator Boss PBL22500, One PL22500, Classic L22500 Specification Sheet's

Golly, all I was trying to do was share what I learned. Didn't realize I'd get dragged into all this. Won't make that mistake on this forum again.

    Purolator Boss PBL22500, One PL22500, Classic L22500 Specification Sheet's

After reading this thread, I asked Purolator for the specification sheets on a couple of 14610 filters I was interested in as well. Got em within a day. I find that impressive. While the filters were different than those posted earlier, the data was almost identical. Sooo .... I sent an email to...

    Fram XG 7317 CnP

Since you asked ... its the sediment inside the filter can that caught my eye, not the filter itself. On my 2 Hondas, the factory maintenance minder will go over 9,000 miles before hitting the 10% alert to change the oil. That means I'd put around 18,000 miles on a single filter if I followed...

    Fram XG 7317 CnP

Thank you for showing this. I too own Honda cars, and after seeing your filter am glad that I have not followed Honda's every other OCI recommendation for replacing oil filters.

Age certainly is a state of mind, but often with a lot of wisdom in that mind. For example:

    Kawasaki vs Alternate Brand

I realize this is an old post, but like you I own a riding mower with a FR691V Kawasaki engine. And judging by the 49065-0721 oil filter number on the box in your first post, it looks like my mower may take the same filter as yours. I bought this Ariens mower used from my neighbor, which he...

    Oil filter shortage

Great explanation. Thank you. I'm a first time Subaru owner here and have found the focus on oil filter bypass psi by other Subaru owners unique, confusing, and I privately wondered if it was totally unnecessary. The dealer is doing complimentary oil changes for the 1st year on my new Forester...

Genuine Honda Oil Filter, 4737 miles

Looks similar (as in very good condition) to my Honda A02 filter that I cut open after 6,000 miles on my '16 Pilot a couple of weeks ago. Sorry no pics, but I thought the Honda filter held up perfectly.

    New Honda Filter Wet Inside

You are right. I walked thru Walmart's auto dept. this morning and sneaked a peak inside a couple of Fram oil filters. They all had the very same wet spot as my Honda filter, which is also made by Fram.

Well, I certainly will now :D

    New Honda Filter Wet Inside

That was my 1st thought too. All I can tell you that when I first touched it with a small screw driver it seemed to have the consistency of water and had no oily feel to it. Definitely not water however given its very strong solvent smell, and perfectly clear and dry this morning.

    New Honda Filter Wet Inside

I'm not even sure this worth the trouble of posting, but I noticed something very strange about a brand new Honda A02 oil filter that was still inside it's unopened shrink wrap that I just had to share it. The bypass valve inside the filter (opposite the threaded opening end) was wet with what...

Uncomfortable situation in a business meeting

I assume by posting this, you are looking for some legitimate ideas to help out. If you are comfortable talking about this with your boss, you might want to suggest your company use tables that come equiped with what we referred to as modesty panels. Tables that had a solid 8-10" panel...

    Carpenter Bee Control

You need to plug or caulk the holes to find out if these are active nests. If the bees have nests inside the wood, and you can not see the bees by looking in the hole, they will burl out of your caulked hole overnight, or within a day or two. In that case an carpenter bee killer that you spray...

    Carpenter Bee Control

Here is another variation of the same sort of trap. Works just as good as the others I posted. as well.

    Carpenter Bee Control

Here are some pictures of traps I have hanging on my 2nd story patio frame that are VERY effective capturing carpenter bees. If you look closely, one of the traps actually has a dead bee laying on the bottom that I haven't cleaned out yet. I learned about them watching some videos on YouTube...

Restore black trim and window gaskets from wax

I've had good luck using Mr. Clean Magic erasers cleaning plastic trim and most non-painted surfaces on my cars. I've used them with a detergent or with water alone. They clean just about anything off glass, rubber and plastic, including tough-to-remove old wax smears and that weathered gray-ish...

    Honda Passport reliability

I don't know diddly about Passport quality, but I can tell you as a current Pilot owner, the 3.5 engine is most certainly NOT bulletproof. I had to replace the fuel pump at 64K miles ($1,200) and one of the active motor mounts ($800) at 69K miles. Motor mount problems on that engine are a...

Do spray waxes/coatings provide real paint protection?

Anecdotally, aside from the nice temporary look, the one advantage I've experienced from a good wax or sealant coating is removing tree sap and especially bird droppings. I've found them to be real buggers at times to clean off otherwise.

    Acceptable battery draw

I don't know about an '03 CRV, but since 2012 Honda has put 51R batteries in that car. My 2 cars did not spec Ah on them, but were 410 CCA each. A rough guess would be about 50 Ah's.
