Lightning just jumped thousands of feet from a cloud to ground. A direct lightning strike is going right through whatever protection you have. These protections might work for an indirect hit.
Yesterday in work I had a General G Max pursuit tire take zero weight to balance, The cops drive the crap out of them so they don't last as long as a civilian vehicle. It seems like a beefy tire, we use it on the Ford Interceptor fleet.
Yesterday I spent 5 hours getting to the rear plugs, Changed all 6 coils also and went with the NGK Ruthenium plugs.
Has 109k miles and plugs could have went another 100k I bet. Intake valves had zero crud on them.
So the trillions given to the manufacturers of fossil fuel cars was a wise choice? Electric cars are the future once we run out of the easy and cheap oil supplies. Most of the US manufacturers would be out of business if they didn't have taxpayers bailing and propping them up.
I've had this problem in my 2012 Sienna, but current Goodyear weather ready tires are slmost at 40k and looks like it may make 50k. Last Michelin tires were shot before 25k.
This is what I bought about 6 months ago, Last week it jumped my coworker's totally dead battery.
