have had the truck since new, has 99,750 miles on it . have always used 5W-30 full synthetic since new uses a quart every 3000 miles, I average 6K miles a year so..... I change the oil in April and October you guys know way more than me .....could you suggest a full synthetic motor oil ? THANKS 🍻

every 6 months I change the oil religiously regardless of miles (Spring + Fall) being retired now I probably only do 5/6K miles a year thanks

for a new oil filter for my 2008 F 150 FX4.....had used the Royal Purple 20-820 filter for years and was very happy . but can't find it anywhere, tried buying one online from Summit Racing but told they're not available till end of November . Peps stopped carrying them .....gonna pick you...

my GSD has an ongoing fungal/yeast skin condition called mallassezia so I don't you use chemicals..... I use Cedarcide on him https://www.cedarcide.com/product/tickshield/ I also spray my yard with another of their products .....seems to be working

actually bought a 5th aluminum wheel to match the stock one's on my 2008 F 150 so I DO the 5 wheel rotation my tires dry rot before they wear out ;)

I understand.....just checked my record keeping, I've changed the oil 24 times since new, all synthetic ..... averages out to just over 3,000 miles btwn changes . really like this site and to pick your guys brains (y)

wondering where you get "problem engine" .....the RP was in there for almost 11 months and I only used half a quart . I agree with the other member about the 3K oil changes but I guess I'm kinda over cautious with my truck but rather be safe than sorry and that's why I went 11 months and almost...

**experts here approve or disapprove ?** have had my 08' F 150 flushed 3 times by dealer since new @ 17K, 40K and 68K.....has 81K miles on odom just thought I'd run this by the experts on BITOG . just posted a engine oil UOA from this vehicle in the UOA forum . thanks

no cam phaser noise and depending on the feedback from BITOG I'll decide on the oil change intervals. wanna see opinions by engine people a lot smarter than me on the iron count ;)

Had the truck since new, has 81K miles now , I'll say 80% City driving . Make up oil of half a quart was Mobil 1 5W-30(all I had) ALWAYS changed at 3000 miles(synthetic) but went longer this one time . Had spark plugs changed @ 75K . using Mobil 1 5W-30 now ..... have used the RP oil filter...
