Is there a recommended high mileage / seal additive for transmission & steering fluid?

Top off any low fluids and keep an eye on them. I wouldn't start adding "seal sweller" unless it's more then top it off every now and then at this point.

My gen 1 3.5 Ecoboost; An inauspicious Start

Good to see you're undoing the neglect and getting good results. 4k OCI or less is what these engines need. I'm running M1 0w40 in mine.

Is this tie rod tool useful?

I think it's for unscrewing the outer tie rod from the tie rod sleeve? That's what it looks like to me.

Is this tie rod tool useful?

Heat it up and you won't need to hit it as hard.

Milkshake Oil - Extreme short trips

If it's running well now with fresh oil, then I'd keep an eye on it every two weeks for more milkshake in the oil and wait and see. It's a 1998 so it's propably not worth fixing if it's a head gasket? I wouldn't plan any long trips with it at this point but short trips arn't going to leave you...

What are you watching on tv right now?

Was watching CBC Hockey night in Canada, but I had to turn it off before it ended as my Jets were down 5-0 to Vancouver!

Why would a freezer evaporator ice over?

I also have a Frigidair side by side. If you have a ice dispenser make sure the flapper door on it is closing all the way. I get a bunch of frost when a cube gets stuck in the door.

Formula 1 starting already this weekend?

They added two more races. So Max should be able to improve on his 575 points last season and get around 625 points this year. 😏 I'm waiting to see if Ferrari has closed the gap and can pressure Max for wins? Can't wait to hear the name Visa Cash App Racing Bulls and Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber...

What do do with 5 quarts of 0W-16?

I would use it to top up between oil changes, or give it to a neighbor? Or put it in a oil can and use it to oil door hinges.

    P0101 & p0172; 2010 Toyota Corolla 1.8l 48k miles

I'd disconnect the Battery and then clean the Mass airflow sensor with a bit of contact cleaner and see if the air filter is dirty. Then reset the codes and see if they come back.

Raybestos E3 rotors rusting earlier than expected

You'll still get years of service out of that rotor. I'm guessing you get a lot of salt on your roads. Try Max Advanced brakes (Ontario based) for rotors, I've had good results from their black coated rotors. I'd be more worried about having to take off that rusty CV axel nut.

    1986 Ford F-250 7.5 460 100k miles. What engine oil?

Probably, but I'd still look a normally priced oil with higher Zddp value, or add some amount of Zddp additive. To me newer oils are not made for flat tappet lifters. Some type of Rotella oil could be a good fit for this motor.
