    Jack stand pad help

I'd put that stand under a suspension mount or axle, not a pinch weld. I'm have traditional axle strands that I use under those suspension mount points and axles without pads and lift with my floor jack on the pinch welds with a jack pad on it...

How long do you keep parts before actually installing them and doing the work?

I have a new off road X pipe for my 2006 Mustang GT that's been sitting in my garage in the box since 2010ish. Chickened out on going with no cats.

Fluid Film coating: how to spray?

I've used the FF aerosol cans and now use the less expensive one gallon can and spray it with a cheap under coating spray gun. You can pick up a spray gun on Amazon for about $20. This stuff is so thick in the gallon version that you need to thin it a bit with vegetable oil as per FF websites...

    23 F150 3.5 Ecoboost Recommendations

In my 2013 f150 3.5 I've been using Mobil 1 0w40 for the last three years and was using 5w30 Rotella gas truck before this. I changed the passenger side valve cover a few years back and everything was nice and clean. My truck only has 128k km (80k miles) on is right now and I change my oil twice...

Opinions on these GDI intake valve cleaners?

Is the VW giving you problems? Otherwise I'd just let it be.

Liquid Wrench on nuts/bolts for future removal

I fluid film CV axle nuts when putting on winter tires that are on alloy rims and the nut is covered. With steel rims where the axle nuts are exposed I hit them with black tremclad spray paint. I pity those of you in the rust belt. I'll put up with the bitter cold over the salt.

I second the oil pan heater. Get a magnetic one that you can take off in spring and stick with the oil your using in summer.

Block heater question - temp? time?

We call this the Manitoba Winter road snake migration season. Not uncommon to find lost extension cords on the roads and in parking lots during the winter around here.

Block heater question - temp? time?

I plug in my block heater at around -15 Celsius (5 Fahrenheit). You can leave it plugged in all night if you like but it should also work if plugged in about 3 hours before you plan on using your vehicle, depending on how cold it is outside. That looks like a Cartridge style block heater that...

Old Kikkoman dispenser - do I really need the foam gasket?

This is the farthest thing in terms of problems that I'd ever think I'd give thought to. Best of luck.

    Rusty craftsman wrenches

How rusted are they? Autosol Metal Polish has worked for me in the past but if they're so rusted that they're pitted then your wrenches will never be the same.

Can I use 0w-40 in my Raptor?

I've been using Mobil 1 0w40 in my 2013 3.5 ecoboost for a few years now. I wanted something thicker to help protect the timing chain and turbos. Make sure you use a good quality oil filter and change your oil at 5k miles or earlier.

STEAK: which cut is your favorite?

Ribeye with Sirloin cap are my favorite in that order. I've also made flat iron steaks a couple of times in the last year and they turned out pretty good but still no where near a Ribeye.

    f-150 2.7 Eco-Boost Sheared 5W-30 down to 5W-20. Which oil to buy?

Pennzoil 5w30 Euro L would be a good one or you could use Mobil 1 0w40. I've used both in my 3.5 ecoboost F150, I've never used the Castrol euro oils.

2013 Dodge Grand Caravan - Replacement Struts

I installed a set of Mando quick struts on our 2012 Traverse almost exactly 4 years ago and they are still working as they should. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mando struts again. On a side note the original struts were replaced under warranty in 2015 and the GM struts the dealer installed at that...

    Aged-out Tires From 2011

Take a look on marketplace for some good used tires on rims. I've had some luck finding (and selling) rims and tires on there for my kids cars and my Mustangs.
