I'm thinking oil is like musicians....the best is your favorite. M1 Valvoline, Redline,Amsoil....just change it and do the service.....Go Honda Go.....
A local Honda dealer serviced my wife's 2016 CRV. I looked at the invoice when she got home. DW1 fluid was listed. I called the service manger who dispatched a tow truck. They drained and refilled 4 times with the correct HCF-2 fluid.
Service manager says it could have been a paperwork foul up...
I manage a dedicated fleet with many hubs in the Northern US. When we are expecting anything below 10 F, I instruct the drivers to mix half # 1 and #2 fuel, and add power service for lubricity. Our fleets are on the road when many are gelled.
I've used Redline CVT in my mothers Civic Hybrid since 2005. Once we changed to Redline, no more slippage. She only runs 6K a year now. I typically change it every 18 months. I do not have data from oil analysis. When her car first came out, Honda did not have CVT fluid. Just used the standard...
