    Been on 6 mos oci since I bought my first car in 1985. At that time, usually there's only about 3,000 miles +/- on the oil. Still do that today to our 1993, 2005, 2014 and 2022 cars.

    What 0w16 are you using in your newer toyota?

    Free oil change at the dealer they used bulk 0W-20. I did our own on our 2022 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid and use M1 AFE 0W-16 6 mos OCI and mileage is about 5,000 miles +/- a couple hundred.

    Our Toyota dealer had the 2 year free maintenance but only changes oil at the 10,000 mile interval, i.e. every other 6 months. I told the Service write if they could change it at our first visit, he said yes they'll just use the 10,000 mile OCI. Our 2022 Rav4 uses 0W-16 which they didn't have...

    We have a 93, a 05, a 14 and a 22 Toyota. All are on 6 month/5,000 miles OCI. Even the 1993 since we are the original owners, is on the 6 month/5,000 mile OCI. Mainly for the VVTI gear for the 05 and up.

    Collinite 845 alternative?

    Collinite sucks. I threw my bottle of 845 in the trash since they don't last on our vehicles that are out in the hot sun all day. 3 weeks and it stops beading. Turtle Wax Seal N Shine lasts 6-8 weeks. I do annual Griot's 3 in 1 for 2 coats then Turtle Wax SNS every month when I was each vehicle.

    4 new vehicles from 1993 to 2022 and all the dealer license plate frames ended up at the trash to energy incinerator. They don't pay me or discount the price of the vehicle for me to give them free advertising. If there were dealer decals I would told them the same like most posts, remove them...
