Oil and grease for Model trains

Since almost a year ago I got a spinal cord injury, and can no longer drive, I sold my classic mustangs, and now only have a van for my wife to drive me around in my wheelchair. So, for a hobby I have reverted...

    Amntifreeze for my Nissan

My 2017 Nissan Frontier with the 4.0 v/6 engine has only 35000 miles, but the radiator seems a little low, and I would like to top it off. In the old days I would just grab some green antifreeze, and mix a little 50/50 and dump it in. But now I don't know what I should use. The stuff in its does...

why doesn't my floor jack work?

What it is one of those cheapie jacks that now cost about $39.95. Several years ago when I got it I am sure it wasn't more than $19.95. Anyway, it starts to lift fine. it lifts strong till about 1/2 way up. then it stops lifting as if it is at the top of its range. With no or very light load, it...

what is a cheap good floor jack?

I know, those things don't really go together, but I want a second small floor jack just to supplement my good one that I have had for 50 years. Really , and I bought it used. So wondering, where is the best place to buy a $39 one? Harbor freight? I probably only would use it maybe 3 or 4 times...

    Different tires, same pressure?

So I changed my 205-65-15 inch tires to 205-55-16 tires, on 16 inch wheels of course, and wondering if since the sidewall is now shorter, if I should still run the stock 35 psi or is another psi more appropriate?

    changing tire size

On my 98 mustang I picked up a set of 16 inch wheels from a 2006 mustang that I am going to use on it. Tried the wheels and fit perfectly, but the stock size on the wheels is a 215 width. The stock width on the 98 is 205. I am going to buy new tires for it as the tires on the wheels now are wore...

    question about a robot vacuum

Ok, so finally got one of those robot vacuums because both my wife and myself find it very hard to push regular one. Ok, so bought a Shark Ion model that has to have the magnetic strips to keep it out of the areas it is not wanted. I know don't tell me about the ones that can be programmed with...

    Another post about old tires

Ok, A couple years ago I bought a base model (3.8 v6) Mustang. Nice car, and the tires on it have good tread, and no weather checks on the outside. When I took off the wheels last year to repaint them, I noticed, If I really looked close, there was some very fine checks on the inner sidewall. I...

    rough riding tires?

Ok, so here is the deal. I have a 98 Mustang base model v6 that I use for car shows and cruising, mostly out of town, so gets a lot of highway miles. I have the stock 15 inch wheels with 205-65-15 tires. In my opinion it rides rough, as in you can feel every crack and minor bump in the road. By...

    Ironman tires

So next to Douglas tires The cheapest tire that the regular tire shops around here sell is the Ironman tire. So my question is, are they better than the Douglas tires, or about the same quality but slightly more expensive???

    Best tire for the money

I am looking at Douglas or Achalles. Only a couple dollars difference. I don't drive excessively fast or race, or very hard on tires. Also I don't drive in rain or snow. Also the present tires were on the car when I bought it 2 years ago and I only put 2k miles on it, but the tires are 12/13...

    No more Fram at Wall-Mart??

I went to a car show yesterday, and the local AAP store (not my town) had a booth there with bunch of cut open oil filters on display. I looked at the Fram, and noticed that the titanium model, which is the same as the Ultra, still had t he old construction. He told me that AAP now owns Fram...

    California duster rejuvenate

Ok, here is the deal, my duster is OLD, I really don't know how old, but I did get it new, and I am sure at least 20 years ago. It had gotten very dirty, to the point that it was more black than its original red. Lately also it seemed to just push the dust around rather than pick it up. So, I...

    choice of tires

So, I am shopping for a set of tires for my 98 Mustang base model with v/6, so no hot rod or racer. Wally World has either a Douglas all season 94H or a Kumho all season 95V rated tire for the same price. So which would you guys choose. I think I would lean to the Kumho, right ??

    possible automatic trans problem?

So my summer weekend cruise night driver 98 mustang v/6 with automatic has this quirk, or maybe problem, that first start of the day when dropping it in gear there is a slight 1/2 second delay before it catches. After that it is immediate the rest of the day. when I first got the car 2 years...
