I like to do the oil changes on my cars with the oil pretty well heated up. I attach a clear 3/8" tube to the Fumoto valve and get a very clean drain. Now, I'm trying to come up with a way to make the filter removal a bit cleaner.

My first would be an HPL 5W-40. However, going with what I could afford it would be Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 C3 with its other stringent specifications although I don't need all of them for my cars.

It might be that where you live you aren't allowed to do the oil and filter changes yourself. This puts you to a bit of a disadvantage and you have to use a corporate entity to do it for you and they don't get it right every time. After all, it isn't their car, even though some of the employees...

HPL lets us know more about their products than any of the others. With what we know about it, I think you can safely carry on with your proposal to extend your OCI. If I was into the kind of driving you are I'd do the HPL at the OCI you're considering.

I have the Fumoto valve on my 2008 Honda Civic. Also, I have one for my 2020 Chevy Equinox 2.0 TDI for its next oil/filter change. It works a little slower but is a little easier.

I remember the two fingers being shown as Kendall being the TWO Thousand Mile Oil. I also recall oil changes being done every one thousand miles. Now you know I'm an old guy. I still do my oil and filter changes.

I've never seen Mobil 1 ESP at any Wal-Mart in my area.

Stories like these make me feel so much better about doing all maintenance on my cars. Not just oil changes but all that have to be done to make them last as long as they can. Doing it myself I know that it's done properly and on time.

I was thinking on going with HPL when I run out of my stash but I'm now not sure I want to wait that long. The customer experience seems to be so great that there isn't any apparent risk. I've never been one to seek the cheapest oil possible meeting requirements, so a little extra cost here...

When I use up what I have on hand I'm going to think about HPL. I believe they have great products.

Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 would be a great choice. I use it myself.
