Honda K20 engine - 100k mile, check valve clearanc

Well your oil maintenance is a huge waste of money, and you should still get the valve clearance adjusted. Nothing really to discuss. Oil has nothing to do with it.

    Is anybody still boycotting Citgo?

But you're supporting Citgo whether you know it or not, and boycotting the station that says Citgo on it doesn't mean you're even avoiding buying a Venezuelan product. Any petroleum you buy from anywhere could be Citgo product. Next week they could kick off a huge PR campaign to fool people into...

Quesion re: my mom's new car and its OLM

And even if the OLM goes beyond 1 year, there still won't be a problem. I'm not certain about whether OLM factors in time, but if it doesn't, it's because GM is confident that it's not important unless there's an admonition in the manual about it. If a yearly isn't required and the OLM says...

What oil and filter for 01 Celica with 1ZZFE?

Just use the stock you have on your 10k intervals. Way overkill for your engine but definitely there's no need to buy anything new. If you ever get through that stock, you can switch to a conventional 5W-30 and a normal filter for the rest of the engine's life, and the engine won't be the reason...

why do people still buy non-synthetic?

Producing conventional oil requires less energy, and the low-cost synthetics may have cheaped out on additives that the conventionals didn't have to do because they already met their price point. Unless it's specifically required for an application, synthetics aren't really buying you anything...

    2013 Pentastar oil requirements

I would use the 5W-20 at the required API spec in conventional flavor to save money and change it at the OLM or manual-specified interval. They've taken your use cases into consideration when engineering this recommendation. The 0W-anything won't buy you anything but a lighter wallet.

PYB would be more than sufficient for the entire duration of the oil change interval specified in the manual.

Best recommended engine oil for 2014 Subaru 2.5

I would leave the initial fill in until the OLM or the manual says it should be changed, then go with whatever product meeting the Subaru spec is the cheapest. That's why Subaru wrote the spec and the change interval. Who are we to second guess?

    PP vs. PYB Cleaning Ability

Shouldn't the question be, "which one will lubricate the engine better?" Doesn't the cleaning ability of an engine oil interfere with its lubricating ability?
