    N55 2015 oil advise needed 😅

I’ve been using Castrol Edge 0w-40. It lost its LL-01 certification, but was recommended for a long time. It still has Mercedes 229.5, which is fine for me. I do have my next change of liqui moly ready though. Lots of good options. If you can’t find anything with ll-01, look for the Mercedes or...

Why NO Love for Pennzoil Euro Brands on BITOG

I tried finding it for my BMW. All I could find was individual quarts for 10-11 a piece. I'm not paying 70 bucks to change my oil. That's two changes with Castrol.

    Leaky Heating Pipe

Plumber came back out today to pickup a tool he left here. He removed all the coolant and flushed with fresh water. No charge either!

    Leaky Heating Pipe

He mentioned that the shark bite isn't usually used for lower pressure closed loop heating systems. I'm still not sure why there is antifreeze. The pipes are all indoors and not subjected to freezing temps. I can only guess that maybe the previous owner left the house in winter for long periods...

I'm going to get the antifreeze removed from the system ASAP. Here are the pics of the repair.

    Leaky Heating Pipe

Little update. Plumber came today. Serviced the boiler and fixed the pipe. Only $73 for the pipe fixing. Pretty decent I think. However, apparently someone decided to fill the boiler with antifreeze years ago, and his test strip told him it could be acidic and might need to come out. He is...

    Leaky Heating Pipe

Thanks for all the feedback! I have no idea how to drain the system, or anything to do with that. My heating guy is coming for the annual boiler service, and I'm sure they can take care of it for me.

    Leaky Heating Pipe

Hello! I have a pipe in my basement that has a very, very slow drip leak. It is a forced hot water heating pipe. It is leaking at the connection from Copper to Pex. The heat has been off for the last few days, and I'm assuming the temperature change in the connection/pipe has caused it? The...

    NASCAR JOINS the 21st CENTURY

Unpopular opinion: making sports safer is making them less exciting for fans. Football isn't the same. NASCAR is boring watching an entire field in a line on the super speedways. That's why these people get paid a ton of money. Talent and willing to take extreme risk. Also, I read that formula...

    New Ford Escape...1.0 liter...really?

My first car was a 1993 three cylinder Geo Metro station wagon. It was blue that faded to baby blue in the Florida sun. I had to turn the AC off when I wanted to accelerate.with traffic. Two weeks after buying it, I got pulled over and the cop accused me of going 89 mph. I tried to tell him the...
