Auto-rx not available to ship to Canada

It just completely stopped oil consumption on my new to me rav4 withing 5000kms. It was using 2.5L in 5000kms before. The product proved itself and I wanted to use it more for my other cars for cleaning and maintenance dosages

Auto-rx not available to ship to Canada

Not at $50 a bottle. I was going to buy another 12

Auto-rx not available to ship to Canada

I ordered a couple times before, most recently in Feb, and now it says they don't ship to Canada? Does anyone have any contact information for them that doesn't take multiple weeks for a response?

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

I wouldn't doubt you can get away with those intervals with that engine. I definitely wouldn't do that with their 1.5T Can't argue with results, although they irrelevant with modern engines. Regardless, We'll done!

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

No, this is a toyota engine that burns oil because the oil wasn't changed frequently enough and it saw all city driving. If you are doing 90% highway you could probably get away with 10k mile oil changes. We're any of the high mileage engines DI?

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

What year civic? The newer vehicles with direct injection are destroying oil and honda is no exception. Although my rav4 does not have DI, my santa fe does. Under the right conditions 10,000kms is perfectly exceptable, Hyundai has 315,000kms on original everything. That said, I drive 1000kms...

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

Update: 3000 kms (halfway) through my second consecutive 2 bottle run with Auto-rx, this time with synthetic, no rinse phase in between. I'm excited to update this car has burned no oil to this point.

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

I'll look into the different oils thanks! I have no intentions of lagging the oil changes back out to 16000kms (10k mile) oil changes. That is what caused this mess in the first place. Having said that the previous owner lived in town and those 16k kms are far more damaging than my highway...

    2017 Rav4 Oil Burning Chronicles

I figured I would share here, the slow success I have had with cleaning up an oil burning 2arfe engine in my 2017 Rav4 in hopes I can help other people. In October 2025, I bought a 2017 rav4 with 167,000 kms on it. It had all maintenance records, in every 8,000kms for service. However, shame on...

    Valvoline oil change interval

It can't repair damage to a block due to the siezed rings carving away at the cylinder. Have you performed a compression test or scoped the cylinder to signs of wear? If you've gone for too long with high oil consumption, there's a chance the damage is irreversible.

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 vs Total Quartz 9000 XTRA Future FGC

o my thoughts were to be able to compare the TBN, and add packs to see how they stack up to one another and then a used oil analysis to see how they shed their properties over a given oci.

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 vs Total Quartz 9000 XTRA Future FGC

I do. It's essentially the same price as the total oil. Although the savings is excellent and not having to recycle so many plastic jugs is great, I want to be sure I'm using a quality synthetic. Unfortunately I couldn't find a recent VOA for the M1 and Total seems not to be very common and as...

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 vs Total Quartz 9000 XTRA Future FGC

I'm probably over thinking this but wouldn't mind everyone's thoughts. So I have been debating for a while between these two oils. Both are ILSAC-GF6A and carry the GM D1G3 and Ford WSS-M2C962-A1 approvals. I've been using the M1 in my 2011 Rav4 with the 2.5 engine for the last 50K and she's...

    Oil change interval

I'm going to suggest watching the OLM with that prolonged period of idling. It will most certainly adjust for that. In my opinion if you have a intelligent oil life monitor (you do) which takes into account ignition cycle count, oil/coolant temps, mileage, run time etc vs a counter that only...

Super Tech 5w-30, 6,200 miles, Hyundai 3.3L GDI

Thanks for this used oil analysis! I have a 2013 Santa Fe XL with the same 3.3L in it. I plan on running a used oil analysis in the spring after the crappy Canadian winter and see how it held up. Current fill is Motul xclean efe 5w30 with OEM (Mann) filter.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0 GDI Motul ecolite 0w-20 15,131km OCI

I agree. I never considered going linger and I think I'll take it back to 10k and try again. But this car sees way too many miles to do sub 10k oil changes

2019 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0 GDI Motul ecolite 0w-20 15,131km OCI

It will be out of warranty in 10k. That and the fact they were already at 15k when they called me for the oil change I figured I may as well test it.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0 GDI Motul ecolite 0w-20 15,131km OCI

I'll check the PCV system when I have it in next. It's approaching 90,000kms now. I'll change the oil as well as the engine air filter and resample at 100,000kms. It's just terribly hard to believe there is much physically wrong with this car as much as a byproduct of being DI. When they're...
