Techron / Gumout : Use Only Just Before Oil Change ?

Back in the days when Terry Dyson was on this forum, he recommended an oil change following my use of BG-44K. Note: Dyson Analysis was a fixture in the oil analysis business for years

    Visible Wireless

Visible is "powered by Verizon". The idea is to offer a service to people that don't need customer service, which is why the reviews might be a bit harsh. Also, at high traffic events (sporting, concerts, etc), Visible could be throttled a bit compared to Verizon. If you are computer/phone...

Discount Tire News, Dunn Tire acquisition, new services.

Same here in Colorado ... I replaced my blades a few months prior to my visit and they were pushing new blades "due to streaking" when I got my tires rotated.

    P06DD on the Grand Cherokee

That is how mine started and over time, it got progressively worse and even then, it was intermittent. I had to wait for it to come on and I drove to the dealer. In my situation, it was the oil pump. -MAXCARE covered it, but it was ~$1600 at the dealer.

    P06DD on the Grand Cherokee

I had an intermittent P06DD for several months. When the P06DD comes on, when you take off from a stop, do you notice (initially) it won't rev over 3,000 rpm? -On my Jeep (2012 Pentastar), it was the dual-stage oil pump.

Does catalytic cleaner fuel additive actually work?

A bottle of Cataclean every 5k or so limped our RX330 along for ~40k. -The vehicle passed Colorado "fast-pass" emissions using the product (I had reset the light so they would test it). -CEL came on at 252k and finally got tired of resetting the light and replaced the converters at 291k.

Using DDG is a good step to help protect your privacy; however, it doesn’t stop your ISP or snoops from seeing what you do online. Unless you are using a VPN with military-grade encryption, thinking you can use the Internet without being tracked is not 100% accurate. To OP: I have used Zoho and...

NAPA rotor warp : Anyone experiencing this ?

What researcher said: We had this issue for years on OEM rotors on our RX330. Ensured the hub was clean and checked hub/rotor run-out. Been good since.

    Insurance Shopping

I just went through this since USAA has (recently) raised rates so much (they recently posted a $1.2B loss). I had a template I used with all of the policy information I was looking for (bundling auto/home); I used a broker and also went to websites for Allstate, State Farm, Progressive...

2001 Lincoln Continental - $5000 repair estimate in front suspension & steering - reasonable?

Nice car. I read through the replies, but I am not sure if this was covered. My buddy used to have one and he was an advocate for converting the vehicle back to a standard suspension. The only thing I don't know, I think that was for the active (not sure the difference between that and...

Another headlight resto before and after

Unfortunately, I did not take a before picture (it looked similar to OP's picture) , but see below for the $5.94 3M product. 3M Trizact 3000 followed by their UV coating product and Zaino Clear Seal -- about 10 minutes per headlight. Not sure how long it will last -- this is on a 2004 RX330 with...

Dealer added "BG ATC Plus® Automatic Transmission Conditioner" to my transmission flush, snake oil or helpful?

I think you need to verify if they put in the CVT version. https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/transmission/bg-cvt-plus-cvt-and-dct-fluid-conditioner/

Wireless router for large house recomendations

Lots of options. I tried the Comcast router with their pods and performance was very poor. I purchased a TP-Link tri-band X90 mesh router (~$350). Home is 3750 sq ft and using two TP-Link devices, it covers the home nicely. I have blink cameras, two smart TVs, laptops, phones and tablets and...

Google urges Android phone users to switch off Wi-Fi calling

For those of us with the S22, those devices are ONLY vulnerable if they run the Exynos chipset, which includes the baseband that processes signals for voice calls. The US version of the Galaxy S22 runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and is not affected.
