    Purchasing Ravenol

I have been running Ravenol VST 5w-40 in my 2011 BMW 535i for the past two years. I order 4 5L bottles at a time from Blauparts as they typically run sales on larger quantities. At the time, I was running lots of city driving to work before COVID, Changing my oil 3 times a year. (6K-7.5K miles...

    $500 beater, Oil suggestions?

Molly McButter, lol. No seriously, just use any oil that meets the requirements. If you want to go synthetic, do that.

RAVENOL USVO VST 5W-40 any other oil on the market that is better ?

In that forum, they also talk about Ravenol VST making the engine quieter, something I noticed in my N55 engine as well. I haven’t taken the valve cover off to check the cleanliness of my engine yet, but I am happy to see another person satisfied with this oil. My BMW got Pentosin it’s first...

Changed oil, Ravenol FullSynth Turbo VST 5W-40

Hi guys, I have a 2011 BMW 535i, in which I have been using Pentosin Pento High Performance 5W-30 oil and Hengst oil filters since I bought it. This time, I tried Ravenol Ravenol FullSynth Turbo VST 5W-40 oil (and another Hengst filter). Now I've done 3 oil changes with the Pentosin, but this...

    Cheap oil filters for BMW

I have a Hengst filter coming from a reputable dealer. The Catinbow ones coming from China are 3 weeks out, and after I clicked the buy button, I had second thoughts. I may do a physical evaluation of them when they come in. Not like I have the equipment to test like the 500 hour BMW test.

It sounds like the consensus is to not risk my very expensive motor, just to save a few bucks on these filters. Thank you for all your feedback. I'll just resell these on eBay.

    Cheap oil filters for BMW

Hello guys, I ended up buying a 5 pack of Catinbow HU816X 11427541827 Metal-Free Engine Oil Filter from Amazon. The picture of the filter has markings "LA0066100 RC06" on the side. They were pretty inexpensive at $21.59 for 5. What are peoples thoughts on filters like these?
