I know less than nothing about this engine, but the results and the marine use lead me to believe corrosion rather than wear is the cause of your numbers. Which in my opinion somewhat mitigates the results.

Redline injector cleaner caused a couple of my NA engines to ping pretty badly ( no knock sensors) . Be careful using it in your application.RL makes great stuff generally, but I stopped using Water Wetter and the cleaner because they weren’t great.

Oiled foam filter from UNI, until you find factory airbox. Use proper super tacky foam oil, no maf fouling, no dirt intrusion. Dry flow and KN, not really filters for street use in my experience, both mcy and auto.
