    Best 6.7 Powerstroke Oil

I use Traveller 15W-40. It’s like $10/gallon and meets all the specs.

Chevron’s response to lowered ZDDP in their Delo 400 HDDEOs.

I doubt it because their position statement on CK-4 came out very early. Early presentations shows some internal tests with proposed new CK-4 formulations.

Chevron’s response to lowered ZDDP in their Delo 400 HDDEOs.

I don't think the government is directly specifying anything here. The issue is DPF longevity.

Chevron’s response to lowered ZDDP in their Delo 400 HDDEOs.

I wish Chevron would test against the Ford -F1 spec. I have a feeling Delo is why Ford took a stand against CK-4 in the first place.

Will a CK-4 oil clean a sludged gas engine better than PCMO?

I'd guess it has to do with aromatic content.

Ford 3.0 Diesel - to FA-4 or CK-4, that is my question.

I'd use 5W-40 CK-4. Because you might need to use biodiesel and it's not hard to find yourself operating in what Ford calls "severe service".

    Finally on board with CK-4

Not that it matters, but this is not accurate.

    *NEW* Peak BlueDEF Platinum

What does that matter? It breaks down at exhaust temps. The only way it won't crystallize as much at RT is if it contains less urea.

Technically DEF is aqueous Urea. That concentration of ammonia would be unbearable.

What are you running in your 7.3 Powerstroke?

The intent of the Ford -F1 spec was to ensure CK-4 oils did as good as the old CJ-4 oils they replaced in terms of wear on valvetrain. The F1 spec in my opinion would be a good place to look for CK-4 oils that perform similarly to the proven CI/CJ oils. There are tons out there that meet F1. The...

Rotella T6 15w-40 going to be staying on shelves?

Maybe people figured out it doesn't do anything that T4 can't do for 1/2 the price?

    Delvac saved my old Civic

I once knew a guy with a Dodge Caravan. Mitsubishi V6, the ones known for burning copious amounts of oil. The thing fogged the neighborhood every morning and every evening. No mosquitoes anywhere. To sell it, he filled 50% of the crankcase with motor honey. That's that semi-solid slime that is...
