    2018 Ram 1500 5.7, Delo XLE SB 15W-40 - 10.1k mi

Delo is great oil! Ran the conventional that is now discontinued for 15K in my Scion XD and just as they claimed it posted equal or better numbers than SynBlend Delvac 1300. I ran the XLE 17,5K in the Scion and it still had life left in it. Delo is good stuff.

    STP/Amalie 5W-40, 2019 Mazda CX-5, 8K OCI, 111K Miles

Well, they didn't have any when I went by the store so I've got Pennzoil Platinum 10w-30 High Mileage in it now and I will go to 10K miles with that and see how it shakes out. Like I said, I had read so much bad stuff about how other brands of cars GDI engines that were diluting oil and such, I...

    STP/Amalie 5W-40, 2019 Mazda CX-5, 8K OCI, 111K Miles

Hover over image to zoom thumbnail image 1 I guess maybe with DEF and low sulfur fuels, the HDEO's are changing as well. I noticed the HDEO makers are pushing 10w30 and 5w-30 blends as well but most truckers are sticking with 15w-40.

    STP/Amalie 5W-40, 2019 Mazda CX-5, 8K OCI, 111K Miles

Was concerned, this being our first direct injected powered vehicle, about fuel dilution after reading many, many horror stories about other manufacturers problems. Apparently that this is not an issue with Mazda. As many of you know from my previous post and UOA's that I'm a big believer in...

Boo NuFinish! You Killed Your Best Product!

Boo on NuFinish! I loved the Spray Polish! LOVED IT! Spray on and wipe off. Panels were slick as owl #hit! Man I hate that. Only spray polish that I know of. I'd pop a coat of Turtle Wax Hybird ceramic on top of it. I really do hate that. Arrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

My two direct injected Mazda's require SN not SN+ or SP rated oils. SP was designed to reduce LSPI some HDEO's are SP rated. I'm about to buy 4 gallons of Delvac1300 Super 10w-30 and have no qualms using it in my DI Mazda's because it is SP rated.

what do you like in 9mm ammo ?

If you have a recoil sensitive female or a guy like me with an injured shooting hand, I like the Liberty Defense 50 grain aliuminum rounds and the Hornady 9mm Lite rounds. I won't debate anyone but I've seen first hand the Liberty Defense used on mammals and was impressed with it enough to trust...

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

I just sold a 240K mile Mazda CX-5 that was fed nothing but 15w-40 HDEO after I discovered it burned too much 5w-20(not a lot compared to what the car makers say today is "normal"!). When it was sold the cats were fine. Ironically, the only car I've ever had to replace cats on was a Lexus that...

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

Mine uses very little, especially over 15K-20K runs. So glad its a port injected engine.

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

Yeah. that was true for HDEO's 20 or more years ago. Not today.

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

What extra zinc and phosphorus? It meets or exceeds SP API specs. So API SP, SN or SM Plus rated HDEO's are emission killers uh? Seems they wouldn't earn the latest gas engine spec if they did.

Yeah, everything I use is SM, SN or SP rated.

    2019 Mazda CX-5, 6K OCI, 103K On Engine, QS 0w-20

Not that I know of. Definitely no as bad as the German and Korean cars. I may go to Restore and Protect since it hasbeen reported to clean up gummed up rings well.

    2019 Mazda CX-5, 6K OCI, 103K On Engine, QS 0w-20

This is the dealer fill from a CX-5 we bought from a Mazda dealer. This is my first direct injection vehicle so I will not be pushing the limits of my oil as I have with my Focus, CX-9, Scion XD, etc. I regularly go 15K miles on my port injected engines but will not do that with my direct...

    2010 ScionXD 188k mi; Valvoline 15w-40 15k mi

Tried the Valvoline SynBlend Premium "Blue" HDEO. It was golden brown so maybe they used to dye it blue! As expected, for a synblend HDEO it's results landed where the Delvac 1300 15w-40 Synblend and Delo 15w-40 Conventional did. No surprises. Presently have STP/Amalie 5w-40 HDEO in the crank...

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super $12.47/gal at Walmart

I have never seen nor found Delvac 1300 10W-30 in a store in Alabama. I can't even find it on the interwebs. Always backordered or unavailable. GREAT OILs as well as Delo. I have done 15K intervals with Delvac 1300 multiple times and the UOA's are stellar. It is a superstar oil.

Top offs on your carry gun, yay or nay?

Depends. I just got some new Shield magazines and they would not take 7 rounds. Had to let them set with 6 in them a couple of weeks to get the springs happy before they would take #7! With 1911's I have had better luck not topping off any 8 round magazine by any make except for Tripp...

OTIS Dry Lube - Good for magazines?

Haven't tried the Otis Dry Lube but swear by Hornady One Shot. OneShot is just repackaged dry saw blade lube. Believe it or not, the repackaged Hornady is much cheaper than the original product.
