    Knocking sound when coasting and only after I start driving in cold weather

    2012 Kia Forte. Knocking/clicking sound when I'm coasting in drive after a cold start. Doesn't do it in neutral and also doesn't do it when the engine gets just a little warm. Changed oil filter back to KIA OEM and didn't help. Any ideas?

    I have one of both of these and they look like the exact same filter. I haven't cut them open but they appear to have the same everything about them. Can anyone confirm?

    How close to the coolant temp does the oil stay when a car is fully warm? Say my coolant is 195 degrees after driving for an hour. Would the oil also be 195?

    Does the KIA engine warranty cover excessive burning?

    I have a 2012 KIA with one of the problem GDI engines under warranty. Does anyone here know if excessive oil burning would qualify me for a replacement engine? It's over a quart every 1000 miles. Other than that, it's a bit sluggish but runs fine.

    I have some quarts of these they don't meet either of those certifications. The 5w30 and 0w20 are Dexos but also not SN+. Interesting that they don't meet those specs if it is designed for "modern engines".

    I see a lot of these for sale and when I ask what the damage was they always say something minor like "just replaced the fender", "fixed dent", etc. How do they get a salvage title for such minor issues? Doesn't the damage have to be like 80% of the worth of the vehicle to get a salvage title?

    I contacted a used car dealer about a car I wanted to buy and he said it sold 3 days ago. I asked him why it's still on the site and on craigslist and didn't get a response. Is this normal practice?
