    Replacement PCM

In my shop that would likely get a used PCM versus a reman because I trust a used one more than a reman. As far as programming goes, no it does not have to go to the dealership but it needs to go to someone versed in Ford programming

    Trim clip tool

I have the Steck pair and it seemed like I was breaking most of the clips I was removing with it. This is my current go to push pin tool https://webcat.cornwelltools.com/HRC54-Indexing-Push-Pin-Pliers-p593092503

    Larger 3/8” Drive Metric Sockets?

Dont own 20 or 23 in 3/8 and the 1/2 inch versions only regularly on swollen lug nuts. 24 quite often on cartridge oil filters. All 3 for fasteners where 3/8 fits better than 1/2. Couple that with I dont own an electric or air ratchet in 1/2 drive so its more convenient to run fasteners in...

    Fail-Pro Gaskets

Generally dont have problems with Felpro intake manifold gaskets but I will never sell another felpro gasket in an application that has to seal oil.

    Filter wrench

74 mm 15 flute nominal size. One of the reasons I quit using Wix filters in the shop is that they tend to run a hair small and a filter wrench will slip.

    SKU Numbers

Thats not a SKU number per say thats a part number. Inside of an OEM (stellantis for example here) you would never assign 2 parts the same part number because that would create a logistical nightmare. One thing you may run into is parts being restricted to certain brands. Chrysler at one time...

    New tool thread

Everything. Thats my most commonly used 10mm socket to the point that one lives on my 1/4 impact. I have a full set form 4-15 in 1/4 inch and 8-19 in 3/8. Love them.

Busted control arm bolt. DIY or not?

Speaking as a professional, I have a lot better chance of getting it out if you dont screw with it first. As it sits I have the most methods available to me. If you start drilling and drill off centered or crooked or mangle the end or break off an extractor my options become very limited very...

Best bang for the buck bi-directional scanner?

I'll start by saying that there is nothing on VW that is intuitive yet powerful. If its intuitive its watered down because VW does their scan tool so much differently than any other manufacturer and most powerful tools either mimic/copy VCDS or try to copy ODIS. I wouldnt spend money on...

1997 Chevy Blazer oil line replacement.

That hole is supposed to be there. You will find one in the crimp ferrules on most oil, transmission and A/C lines. If the crimp fails and starts to leak the fluid will leak out of the hole and relieve pressure off the crimp versus blowing the crimp apart.

    Screwdriver tips (pun intended)

I have a set of vessels that I like and keep out on my cart, but my personal absolute favorites are my older Snapon hard handle screwdrivers. They just feel right in my hand and are worn to my hands after almost 20 years...
