Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

Oh that's pretty bad since I'm sure the car could've ran for a lot longer than that. Even though it does not snow much here I have small rust spots on the trunk. I'm guessing water must've collected there and caused it. Your rust issues seem to be shared by quite a bit of the Mazdas. Not sure if...

I change it around 70K-80K miles.

I do have a kit but have been kind of lazy. I will try to do it soon. It's just cosmetically looking dull but performs just fine. The look of the car will definitely improve once the headlights look clear.

Get's driven everyday with the rare exception.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in a high mileage vehicle?

I used it in my car which had around 293,000 miles at that time. I ran it for around 6800 miles and it was good. It used a teeny tiny bit more than usual but my car hardly burns any. So I guess maybe it used a 1/4 qt or so.

Alright :) Here is a fairly recent one. Will see if I can get some more.

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

Appreciate it everyone, I think I will hold off on the HM oil since I don't see a need. I just wish I had took care of the paint in the car's early years. I only started getting into paint care after it was already 6 years old.

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

Yeah I am eventually going to do something to the headlights, just been putting it off. And the car generally doesn't use oil most of the time but maybe some oils are different. Like the previous oil I used, it used it a tiny bit. Maybe .5 quart or even less in 6,000+ miles.

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

I just changed it very recently but it had been a while before that though. The brakes get changed every few years or so.

Sure you can, just treat it right and look after it. Wish you the best.

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

The ATF has been changed not too long ago and is shifting just fine. Thanks for the tips. I will have to get the airbag light looked at and hopefully fixed.

That's right LOL. Yes, I might look into the TPMS down the road if feel compelled. I feel thankful for the car to still be running this well.

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

All fair and helpful points. It's a auto and is shifting very well, no issues from me. The suspension makes some clunks in the rear occasionally but I think it might be the sway bar and the end links. Still solid. The airbag light is something I have thought about. I think you might be right and...

Mazda 3 just reached 300,000 miles

Hello fine gentleman, hope you're all doing great. I was hoping to use your expertise to keep my car running well. Any inputs or advice would be appreciated. My Mazda 3 now has over 300,000 miles and I'm just wondering what can I do to keep it going. I honestly did not think about reaching this...

    Mazda3 2.5 Turbo

I had one incident, maybe it was my own fault, where the screen on the CX-30 went blank for about a minute or two when I was simply operating the infotainment menu. It simply would not come back on no matter what I did. It was a 2021 model. But yeah, you might be right - one might just need more...

    Mazda3 2.5 Turbo

Glad to hear you're enjoying the car. They are very nice looking vehicles across the lineup. Very unique styling inside and out.

    Mazda3 2.5 Turbo

It's not bad and it's not hard, it's just more complicated than it needs to be. I just gave one example of the radio controls. It's not the only issue with the system. Mazda's infotainment system takes more time and attention than it needs to for some simple tasks. You're right though, Mazda is...

    Mazda3 2.5 Turbo

Also, the infotainment on the new Mazdas is very cumbersome and not user friendly. To change the radio station you must do multiple steps and go through multiple screens. The A/C and heating controls are OK but definitely not like the older simpler Mazda designs. Nice materials but a bit too...

Replace one tire or all 4?

Good idea. Will try if need be.
