    Rotella T6 5w-40 - Jeep 4.0 ZJ 253,000 miles

I replaced my timing chain on my 4.0 in my 00 Cherokee recently. Did it at 189k. It was making a lot of noise up front and now it's all but gone.

    '15 Ram 1500 - ZF 8 Speed Factory Fill - 70k mi

ZF recommends a 100km interval, so mine is a bit over that (approx 112km). It depends on how your truck/trans was used. Mine is used mostly for commuting with the occasional haul and tow. I would shorten the interval if the trans saw more severe use.

    '15 Ram 1500 - ZF 8 Speed Factory Fill - 70k mi

Changed my trans fluid at 70k recently. I don't see many UOAs of the ZF fluid, so here is one! The truck is used mostly for daily driving purposes in city traffic. I have towed and hauled at near capacity a few times in my time with the truck (bought at 38k miles), so it has been put to work...

New Hemi owner, new oil decisions

I've had a couple of good used oil reports from running PP 5w-20. I have posted them here so check them out if you want. I stick with 5-7.5k mile intervals, which works out to be about 2 times a year. Currently running PUP 5w-30 to see if I get any improvement on wear numbers. I have not...

    2015 Ram Engine Oil

I have the same truck and have used PP 5w-20 without issue. I even have two UOA's posted here showing how well it does. My OCIs have been around 6k with both analysis' showing I could go longer.

    '15 Ram 1500, PP 5w20, 6k miles

FYI I email Blackstone about the uptick in potassium and they didn't seem worried about it. They said if there were a coolant leak that the levels would be much higher.

    '15 Ram 1500, PP 5w20, 6k miles

The only repair it had during this time was made under warranty. It was the common issue of the exhaust manifold leaking due to broken bolts. I noticed the potassium increase but didn't see a noted increase in sodium and silicon. I have a UOA from my Jeep 4.0 that shows high potassium, silicon...

    '15 Ram 1500, PP 5w20, 6k miles

Posted this on Ramforum, but I figured here would be good too. Here's my most recent. Another good showing for PP 5W20. I'm sticking with 6-7k miles per change. Went with 5qts of PUP 5w30 and 2qts PP 5w20 this time. Used up some old stock is the reason for mixing.

2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L, Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30, 2k miles; 1 yr

Thanks for the replies everyone! I don't drive this Jeep very often. I've only put a little over 5k miles in 3.5 years of ownership. While it's nice to see that the oil could go longer, I'm sticking with annual changes to keep things easy for me. I've previously ran Rotella T5 and T6 with no...

2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L, Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30, 2k miles; 1 yr

This year of jeep had a common problem where the head would crack and coolant would get into the oil. I replaced the head 5k miles ago and haven't had a problem since.

Very happy with this one. Previous report on this one was to test for coolant in the oil for the common 0331 head problem. Filter was Fram Ultra. 5w30 RGT went in for this change.

    5.7L Hemi Oil Question

Congrats on the truck. I have a 2015 1500 with the 5.7. I've done three oil changes so far and have run Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 in all three. I posted two of the used oil analysis here and they've come back great. Gonna switch to 5w30 this summer and see what happens. I've run a Bosch...
