2.7 Ecoboost - An overbuilt beast with a flaw

That's not quite true, the change to belt in oil overlapped with the introduction of dual injection.

2.7 Ecoboost - An overbuilt beast with a flaw

Forgive me if this has been discussed, but the 3.0 diesel specifies an 180 month, 150k mile interval for their belt in oil. Does that interval make sense to adopt to a 2.7 eco boost as preventative maintenance?

2.7 Ecoboost - An overbuilt beast with a flaw

Looks like dewalt has dedicated small impact “wrenches” too, like DCF923B but this is different? But he was just using a regular impact driver like one that frequently comes with a regular drill in a combo kit. I’m only used to impact drivers being used on like Torx screws for decks.

2.7 Ecoboost - An overbuilt beast with a flaw

What was that smallish Milwaukee impact-like driver he was using? That seems handy for small bolts.

Like, do you just use the file in and out of each link to keep edge pretty sharp? Sorry for the basic question, I've never sharpened one before... Well, keeping the blades in balance is new to me. Any words or product advice?

Well, I guess some details might help. I've got a Honda GX270 OHV in a tracked snowblower, a Kawasaki® FX691V 22 hp and two Hydro-Gear ZT-3400s in a stand on lawn mower. Anything specific?

    Small engine maintenance information

Hi Guys, For the first time in my life I need to know how to maintain a "small engine" (lawn mower, snowblower, generator, etc.) I'm familiar with auto engine maintenance items. Is their anything different with small engines? I tend to keep things until it's not practical to source spare...

    2.7 ecoboost M1 5w-30 synthetic

That’s the hearsay but it passes spec for my engine so I like the idea of my seals being maintained from day 1. It’s also thicker weight.

    2.7 ecoboost M1 5w-30 synthetic

^yeah, that's my default when I can find it.

    2.7 ecoboost M1 5w-30 synthetic

That’s why I want it, lol. Well, after I learned that there is a spec that the oil has to pass so as to not modify the seals too far. It’s all controlled apparently.

    2.7 ecoboost M1 5w-30 synthetic

    2.7 ecoboost M1 5w-30 synthetic

Thanks guys, I’m just doing one of these as a set it and forget it check. I’ll probably just stick with 7500 miles and M1 5w-30 full synthetic (of any flavor/variant) so long as it meets Fords spec. That’ll be good enough. Glad it turned out well! I like this 2.7 so far.
