    2017 Ford F150 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost - 9486 on oil, 50235 on engine

I have not found this to be true with my truck. The oil in this same was over a year old and the IOLM still read 5% It may be true with older or other versions, but not mine. If you look at the reports I have above, those samples were all taken when my IOLM read 5% or zero. Going to 9500 miles...

    2017 Ford F150 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost - 9486 on oil, 50235 on engine

My truck usage this time around was perhaps more highway miles than city, I would say maybe 70/30 ish?

    2017 Ford F150 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost - 9486 on oil, 50235 on engine

Sorry I thought that I put it in here. I believe this with Meijer branded oil. I typically just go with whatever oil is cheapest fully synthetic. I have used supertech with great results, mobil 1, pennzoil. The only time I didn't have good results with was the motorcraft syn blend oil when I...

    2017 Ford F150 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost - 9486 on oil, 50235 on engine

I have been curious to see if the intelligent oil life monitor (IOLM) has done well to recommend oil change intervals. I wasn't sure if it would be just a 10k counter or more than that. So far it's been more than that. I am trying to push against the "just change it every 5k miles, cheap...

I will certainly not be going over 10k miles. However, this oil change interval seems to be good enough for now.

    2017 Ford F-150 3.5L ecoboost

I used pennzoil that advertised being good for turbo charged engines. I only got it because it was on sale. The Meijer brand I used in the previous oil change worked well too. The only thing that hasn't done great is the first oil change with motorcraft. It could be due to engine break-in but...

    Meijer syn 5w-30 6.5k mi; 2017 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost

I got the truck with 9k miles from a dealer. They did an oil change before they gave it to me. This is my 2nd, but it could be on it's 4th fill.

    Meijer syn 5w-30 6.5k mi; 2017 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost

So I went about 6500 miles on next oil change. I used Meijer branded fully synthetic oil. The break-in period appears to be over. Here was my first test: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/foru...017-ford-f-150-3-5l-ecoboost#Post5009102 The question I am trying to figure out now is if the IOLM is...

Where are you reading 4-5% fuel dilution? Blackstone said they allow up to 2% and mine didn't even read with a TR in that category.

Thanks for the recommendations and comments on here. I am also on F150 forums to try to do a confirmation on the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor. It was at 20% oil life left based on my driving habits. I am glad changed it when I did, but I a wondering if this could still be considered initial...
