2021 VW Golf GTI. API SP oil for Arizona?

Hello! Been awhile since I posted. Sold my C5 'vette to my neighbor and picked up a brand new tornado red VW GTI SE manual with those sweet 18 inch black wheels. Oil temps regularly around 220 degrees, +/- 5 degrees. Engine in vehicle is 2.0 TSI, and owner's manual basically states to use 0w-20...

Does ATF have to be in "Hot" zone of dipstick for best performance?

2013 Grand Cherokee 4x4 with 65RFE auto transmission. 47,000 miles. Was a bit concerned lately with it shifting gears a little hard, and it also shifts into drive a bit hard when fluid is cool. I checked ATF level on level ground with engine running after a long drive in 100 degree weather, and...

2013 Grand Cherokee front diff fluid

Got a 2013 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi AWD with a rear LSD. Looking to change all gear fluids and transfer case fluid soon. Its physical owner's manual makes it clear that the rear is 75w-90 and the transfer case uses ATF+4, but the front diff specifies 75w-140? I looked at Jeep forums, which lead...

Do all synthetic oils act as a cleaner?

I occasionally read about synthetic becoming darker quicker and/or causing leaks in older MPI engines because it loosens leftover deposits in engines that supposedly always used conventional. Wouldn't fresh conventional with the same additives do the same thing, or does the fancier base stocks...

    '02 Toyota Sienna burning oil (3.0 V6).

It's the beater van with 170,000 miles, and I don't remember exactly how many miles it's been driven since I last changed it (somewhere between 5000-7000 miles with Pennzoil Platinum). I finally did an oil change recently and saw there was nothing on the dipstick, and what drained out was really...

    Any 0w-30 oil users?

Kinda uncommon viscosity, but it exists. Does anyone regularly use it for their vehicle? At my Kia dealer, we ONLY use Total 0w-30 for the Kia Stinger 2.0 Turbos. The 3.3 twin turbos get any 5w-30.

Any leaks if I stop using synthetic high mileage oil?

Been using Royal Purple HMX 5w-30 in a Toyota 3.4 V6 and a Chevy 5.7 LS1. Both have just over 130k miles. The 3.4 doesn't leak any oil, but the LS1 only seeps from the timing cover. Both engines are extremely clean with almost no varnish on the heads, and don't consume oil. Will both these...
