    Aem dryflow vs Motorcraft

AEM is owned by K&N so, you basically have a dry K&N filter.

Idle hours and the wear and tear it really equates to. Opinions?

All modern police package cars come with idle hours. It shows the actual wear and tear on the engine. In Ford's Crown Vic Police Package manual says exactly what you saw, that 33 idling hours equals 33 road driven miles. When these things go to auction, they look at all that stuff and a car with...

    Keep K&N or NOT ?

I'm pretty sure Hastings has the market for industrial applications. Go on their website and check it out. They seem quite proud of their over the road trucks and heavy machinery applications. I've always liked S&B. They I believe pioneered the closed airbox design for aftermarket intakes...

    Keep K&N or NOT ?

I'm just curious but K&N claims their diesel filters are 7 layered? I thought they used 4 layers of cotton gauze/screen mesh. Or is it their regular flat panel filters are 4 layers? They probably did that because AFE having a 7 layered and S@B having an 8 layered filter BLEW them away with...

Hemi MDS issues are how common?

The Crown Vic 4.6L will last another hundred years without any real issues, other than electric fans and the normal cracking plastic intake manifold. My last 2011 CV was retired at a tick under 150k miles and went through 4 fans, an intake manifold and some a/c stuff, and that was it. Zero...

CVPI center caps on 2010+ Taurus, winter wheel setup

It wont matter what you do. Might as well Plasti-dip your entire car. 3 years and they start to show rust. It's unreal how quickly that forms when roads stay wet for weeks at a time with liquid salt. Might as well park in the ocean. It'd probably rust LESS than 3 years of driving through NYS...

Fender bender info needed. Small claims court?

I can tell you that I don't know of a law enforcement agency that will entertain a crash report 2 weeks after it happened. It's pretty much a waste of time.

Headlights improve, but base models leave drivers in the dark

My Challenger has factory projector HIDs and projector fog lights too. Talk about a sharp cut off. They light up the road and not the eyeballs of oncoming cars. I told myself after my last car that I will never own another car without HID projectors. I live out in the country and could use all...

CVPI center caps on 2010+ Taurus, winter wheel setup

I grew up in 'Cuse and lived in Watertown for many years. I found no matter what I did, salt reached every part of the vehicle and rotted it away. It didn't matter how many times I'd wash it and spray underneath, it simply didn't matter. The state sucks and that's reason #37,762 why I moved to...

Are there any new sedans capable of 300k miles?

If I wanted a sedan to last a million miles, I'd want something with some comfort, rear wheel drive, with a V8. Since most of those are gone, and people in this thread seem to favor 55HP 4 cylinders that take 3 minutes to reach 60, but deliver 93mpg, none of them would agree with my opinion. For...

    45,000 miles in the Caprice.

The push bumper isn't abnormally large. Might just be the angle of the picture. It's a standard Setina and designed for this car. My old Crown Vic was retired at 148k miles and had around 2300 idling hours, which is not a lot. I would've bought that car because I know exactly how it was driven...
