Big boy parts today at work… is anything on it flat? Nope. Are the holes where they’re supposed to be? Also nope. LG speaker for scale. And don’t worry, I put a real clamp where the green C clamp is and moved that to the right side 😅

    Xenon headlight issues

If it’s easy, swap the bulbs side to side and see if the problem follows. If it does, you have a bad bulb, if not ballast. I was never a fan of aftermarket HID bulbs. I always ran Philips or Osram bulbs. Too many fakes on Scamazon/fleabay.

    Pre cut window tint

They’re pre cut, not pre shrunk. I tried it once, realized real quick it’s worth the ~$300 to not do it.

Never been on a plane, but I’m now well under the weight limit to go skydiving 😉

For us common folk at least 😅

New Dodge Hornets reported as selling 33 percent below MSRP- worth consideration??

They had 1 job and they failed by shoving an EV nobody asked for nor wanted down our throats while axing the V8’s in everything except the Durango... I know the Hurricane I6’s make more power and yes they feel good to drive, but nothing beats NA V8 power. Mmmmmmmm torque 🤤 The Hornet is just...

Are German cars safer than Japanese or American cars?

The 1971 Chrysler Imperial was the first production vehicle with computer operated ABS, Toyota followed with the Crown the same year. Granted those were 3 channel 4 sensor systems.

    Golf Cart questions

I wouldn’t even try that with my gas golf cart. Though I think it’ll just spin the tires on anything less than pavement.

    Best/Worst A/C Performance in a car?

My Caliber has the best HVAC of any vehicle I’ve owned. Heat hot enough to borderline melt the plastic, ac cold enough to freeze you out. It’s also about the only nice thing I can say about a Caliber, other than it never left me stranded. The Ram’s HVAC is also pretty good.

I have an update on this…. The wheels were TOO BIG for the Accent 😂 Never in my life would I have thought 15’s would be too big for… well anything really. And this is how I turn on my bar mill. Click that contactor in, hit the “oil pump on” button and hold both those till a 3rd relay/contactor...

“Fixed” the cobalt hood. Bought hood pins, they weren’t long enough… so I made some at work like I should have to begin with.

    3-Row SUV for Midlife Crisis

Dodge/Jeep offer that (I’m sorry) awful primer color. Durango for sporty, Grand Cherokee for luxury. At 6’2” I could fit in the third row, a little tight but comfortable. Durango is a bit dated, but the underlaying architecture and drivetrain hasn’t changed since 2016. But the new Grand...

No more diesels, first brand new super duty

There are regulations on that. The problem is they rely on the manufacturer getting the aim right, which they don’t. I can’t find it now, but they have to measure hundreds of points at varying distances.

This is a rental car rant

If it makes you feel better, they tried giving me, an at the time 6’2” 300lb man with 2(!!!) rear facing car seats a Hyundai Accent. Then got offended when I was like “really…? Yall gave me a Charger R/T last time.”

Friend: “what is the lug pattern on your cobalt?” Me: “4x100, what’s up?” friend: “I found a $400 2002 Hyundai Accent with a manual but both back tires are flat… can I borrow yours?” Me: “say no more”

Durango does, I believe the Grand Cherokee as well.

My wife and her best friend gave me an early birthday present, racing stripes! I love it 🤣 Now I really need to go pick up some hood pins lol Edit - yes, I have a radar detector in it, it has a gps speedometer I use. The speedometer reads slow, all I know is a hair past 2,000rpm in 5th is...

    Need Recommendations For Outdoor Camera

I’m thinking a Unifi Express 7 is in my future, as my Asus is coming EOL… if I didn’t already have the lorex I’d be all over getting their cameras. My system also does h265, which yeah makes my MacBook a bit toasty but totally fine on a phone!

    Need Recommendations For Outdoor Camera

Stick with one. I’m using a Lorex NVR. It’s all stored locally, records 24/7, sends motion alerts etc and doesn’t cost me a penny beyond the initial purchase.
