    Real world pickup fuel mileage?

    My 2019 Silverado gets 19.7 mpg in general driving (calculated) over 53,000 miles. I've seen as high as 29 on the dream o meter for 50 miles, but that was a a flat straight stretch of road most likely with a tail wind.

    In the hunt for a good, reliable, used 4x4 ATV.

    I have a Yamaha Grizzly 660 and a Yamaha Bear Tracker 250, the 250 is more fun to ride! The Grizzly being 4 wheel drive and a LOT heavier does work well for plowing snow and other work, but the Bear Tracker has good power and has pulled many deer out of the woods and does well pulling stuff...

    Bad year with the deer.

    My wife has hit few, I've only ever hit one. My son hit one last fall in his 2014 Silverado, didn't really seem that bad but the airbags all deployed, truck was totalled with over $18,000 in repairs quoted, and least partially due to the lack of availability of replacement air bags/seat belt...

    Cold start at -35°F with 10W30 = no oil pressure

    Back in the late 70's when I first started helping my dad with the family car we were using 10w30 and or 10w40 in north central Minnesota, saw lots of sub zero starts (well frequently we didn't see starts!). I think the crappy batteries and out of tune carbs were more of a detriment to starting...

    GM X-Cars

    We had a few of the X cars as a family, they weren't the greatest, but they weren't the worst either. I'd put them in the same class as the Chrysler K cars. We had two K cars amongst us and they both were not very reliable. Both were better than the AMC/Renault Alliance - simply the worst cars...
