    Most broadly compatible engine oil

Personally I would lean towards 5w30 FS, what are your reasons for preferring a 10w30? In my mind it's good to lower cold viscosity as much as is practical so as to limit cold start wear and oil pressure variance. At least with C3 it has the same minimum HTHS as A3/B4. Would Noack matter as...

    Most broadly compatible engine oil

That's what I figured, it exceeds pretty much all A3/B4 specifications right? I'm a little concerned with using an A3/B4 with modern catalysts and dpfs. What would be the main protection differences between these specs and is there any reason they would be an issue with the shorter intervals I...

    Most broadly compatible engine oil

Humour me. I work on quite a few cars between family, friends, and offering at cost oil changes to my community. I'm wanting to buy bulk oil drums to drive the cost down but am wanting to run my plan by a few people with a head for this stuff. My big question is which acea spec should I get to...

How good is this oil? (S-Oil Seven Gold C3 5w-30)

Good point. I was thinking something like this would be easy enough to make or buy and should do the job. Not that it should need it often, I'm under the impression that it takes 1-2 years for additives to settle enough to be serious.

How good is this oil? (S-Oil Seven Gold C3 5w-30)

I have a minimum of 11 vehicles from immediate family and close friends that I service, on top of extras from time to time. I'm sick of trying to time sales and help coordinate buys to get a good price on oil (It doesn't help that oil is very expensive in NZ). Why not just get a 200L drum and...

How good is this oil? (S-Oil Seven Gold C3 5w-30)

After researching the company some more it looks like they are a joint-venture with Total, as mentioned above. I also discovered that they supply factory fill and white-label genuine oil to Hyundai, Kia, GM, Honda, Toyota, and Lexus among others (Perhaps only for the Korean domestic market?)...

How good is this oil? (S-Oil Seven Gold C3 5w-30)

I've found a local supplier that can source this very cheaply in bulk and on initial impressions it looks rather good. Would love to get some insight from far more knowledgeable people here though. Webpage with info, MSDS, TDS etc.

    Repco - New house offerings

I couldn't find much info on these oils so asked for a TDS for the RFS5 5w-30. Repco sent me an MSDS for it, missing some info but it's a start. It appears that Penrite is still the manufacturer. Seems a bit vague. What do you guys think?

Oil for N54 335i in New Zealand

So I've done my research on this and honestly I've just wound up more confused than ever. Most on here seem to recommend Castrol Edge, but the Euro blend not the US blend, some say that Titaium FST is fine in the UK, but the exact same branding in New Zealand where I am is not due to mixing...
