    New Multistrada V2

That V2 looks so yummy... I'm just waiting for Spring to finally come around so I can start riding again.

    Ram 1500 P265/70/17 swap to LT255/75/17

2017 or so BMW 328d - anyone have experience?

Edy is right, and I've had an N47 equipped X3. It's a blast to drive (tuned) and remarkably efficient, but the pesky exhaust aftertreatment components will give you headaches. The older the model year, the more likely you'll have niggling issues. If you're set on a 328d, find a late 2018 with...

What's the deal with dodge switching to just ram?

No complaints after 3+ yrs of owning mine, and the name never bothered me.

    2024 Silverado 1500 LT Crew 4x4 5.3 or 2025 Ram 1500 Bighorn Crew 4x4 3.0 Hurricane?

+1 on the Ram (but not in that color) from a biased but satisfied owner.

Interesting crack in semi trailer tire sidewall

Definitely in need of replacement before it damages something or someone. Also, with the cooler winter temps rolling in, I would anticipate that opening to increase as the rubber contracts.

    HPL Sale notice

Quick question: which oil would you recommend for a tuned gen3 EcoDiesel? Thanks in advance!

    Gunnar (blue light blocking) glasses

I would say pass on the blue light blocker option and instead opt for the polarized lenses. They will make the biggest difference, both in daytime driving when the sunlight glare off other cars can be blinding, and at night when poorly aimed oncoming headlights create bad glare. The blue light...

    What is your EDC Pistol?

Depends on what I'm wearing: If just a single layer, Ruger ECP. If more than one layer and/or a light jacket, S&W M&P 9 Shield Plus.

Oil Filter Tightening vs Outside Temp vs Engine Temp

Good (and funny) thread. There are probably many right answers, depending on the type of oil filter your vehicle uses. For cartridge style filters which have a cap that must be removed, you want to follow the torque recommendation on the filter cap. In my case, both of my vehicles have a...

    2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen; new toy

Great looking bike, congrats! Definitely right on the window closing for riding in WI... unless you enjoy freezing body parts.

What happens if I don’t change the bypass filter?

Having previously had a bypass filter on my old TDI, it only got changed once every 50-60K miles. I would say it's probably fine for even longer than that on gassers, since they don't produce soot the way diesels do. My vote would be change the oil and regular filter, worry about the bypass...

Castrol Euro 5w40 in a diesel in an Isuzu diesel?

OP, was there more to the story about why "Ram got the truck back"? Just curious, from one owner to another. Also, that Castrol will be great for your generator.

    F150 Suspension Refresh

I've got the Timbren SES on my Ram, definitely a worthwhile upgrade for towing or hauling heavy. No more butt sag and the loads feel much better supported. With an empty bed and not towing, it's perfectly stock since they're not touching the axle.

    Best Thermostat brand for Hemi

My vote is MOPAR, you don't want to have to change it again prematurely even if free. Too much PITA.

Help with a piston soak problem aka did I destroy my engine?

+1 on the oil pickup screen possibly clogged, or at least check to make it's not. +1 on probably time for new PCV valve.

    22 Wrangler Ecodiesel, 5k AMSOIL EFM 5w-40

Compared to other Ecodiesel gen3 used oil analysis, your Aluminum numbers are OK. Especially that first interval. And the visc @ 100C is reassuring. On the Ram diesel forums I frequent, people are losing sleep and trading in perfectly fine trucks because they see Aluminum numbers in the 20s and...

    2024 GM LZ0, 12,100 miles; Dexos D 0W-20 5,200 and 6,900 miles - used oil analysis

I'm a firm believer these diesel motors aren't fully broke in yet until at least 60K miles. I'd expect to see iron continuing to come down on a healthy engine and stabilize.

2024 Silverado 3.0 Duramax, 18,800 total miles; 5W-30 Amsoil Diesel Oil 5,000 miles used oil analysis

Mine used to regen once every 300ish but since GDE tuned, it's now once every 1K miles like clockwork. Also, it can regularly see oil temps up to 225-230*F just doing highway speeds fully loaded. Just one more reason you want as good an HDEO in the sump as you can reasonably find/afford.

Ram ZF Differential and Amsoil Severe Gear

I've got the 3.21 LSD rear end and I drained my OE fluid at about 32K miles. It was a bit low from the factory and it was super dark, like yours in the pic. The new stuff I put in was perfectly clear (Valvoline 75w90 full synth with the LSD additive) and I made sure to fill it until it started...
