Am I asking for trouble with 1250 more miles than the recommended OCI? I'm currently using PP 5w-30 with a Hyundai OEM oil filter. I get on it every once in a while, but mostly I just do a mild 25 mile commute to work and back.

Is 0w40 safe for the Hyundai powertrain warranty? Since I'm changing my own oil I'm sure they'll want receipts to prove my oil changes if a warranty issue arises.

Most dealerships change the oil, but I have noticed a few that were underfilled.
