Does fuel dilution keep engines clean?

The Honda 1.5L turbo is banned in China bc of fuel dilution related issues.

The Sierra NV mtn ranges still have snow on top here in July. I believe the peaks on I-80 are around 12k ft

K20C4 Oil Selection Sweepstakes is over (2022 Accord)

That’s not the point of cool down time, the point of cool, down time to allow the turbo to spin down to idle speed, and the bearings cool. You drive your car you come up to a stoplight off the freeway that turbo still is probably spinning over 10,000 RPMs. If you shut it off, you have no coolant...

    Lancer Evo IV Oil?

Nice ride. The old school sport compact car. I had the first gen 2003 SRT-4 until I got rear ended at 40-50mph. I miss the car.

Oil for 2.0 Skyactiv - Battle of the 0w-20

Idk. Filters are cheap. 10-12 bucks and you can even find cheaper ones. I don’t see a point of stretching that out.

Oil for 2.0 Skyactiv - Battle of the 0w-20

Why would you swap oil filters every other oil change? They’re cheap, and why would want to contaminate fresh oil with used oil in the filter?

    2021 Odyssey oil spec

My 2015 Acura doesn’t have vcm, yes I’m a thickies. Only time the engine makes power is 3800-7000. Yes I much rather have a HTHS >3.5. The S2K when it first came out had a redline of 9200. Honda recommended 10/30. They had some valve spring issues running that high rpm

    0W-40 or 5W-40 only

The fee mfg don’t care about us, they only care about cafe and getting the vehicle past the warranty. And as you know, Toyota tundra engine problems they’ve now

    0W-40 or 5W-40 only

Weird bc my 2015 acura MDX J35 supposedly had it, I’ve never felt it, and no eco light ever comes on. Unless it came in a mid model change. My date of mfg is 2014 sold as a 15. Engine does see 3K OCI M1 ESP 0/30. Previous M1 0/40

    0W-40 or 5W-40 only

The reason for 0/8 0/16 is just dumb. It’s all about cafe and I personally could care less if it suffered a .01 mpg loss bc I choose to use a little thicker oil like a 0/30

K20C4 Oil Selection Sweepstakes is over (2022 Accord)

In your accord. I would honestly run M1 0/40 with that 2L Turbo and always allow for a min of 1 min cool down time before shutting it off.

K20C4 Oil Selection Sweepstakes is over (2022 Accord)

The UOA does not you anything In regards to the amount of heat inside those bearings, the rings, the turbo gets extremely hot, extreme high rpm. Only one reason for 20wt is cafe and the mfg trying to squeeze every drop of mpg out of an engine. The only thing they care about is the engine makes...

K20C4 Oil Selection Sweepstakes is over (2022 Accord)

If you can get your hand on the euro manual, I guarantee you it’s gonna tell you to run pretty much whatever you want unless you want the best fuel economy at 0: 20 but other than that Honda is super easy on what they recommend outside of the United States

    Honda K24 Valvetrain, 135K miles

Injectors cause this? Burning the cheapest gas you could buy? In mine, I only ran chevron or shell, 1 bottle of Redline fuel cleaner every 5k at OCI, every 15k sprayed a can of intake cleaner down the throttle body.

Amsoil 75W-85 EP Gear Lube and ULV ATF

75/90 75/85. Not much difference. No noticeable mpg that you could register. It’s not like drag racing where a thousands of a second can make break a race

What’s wrong with sticking to the Iong time industry standard 75/90

I don’t pay attention to those claims bc I don’t run long OCI.
