Las Vegas tourism seems to be in deep trouble

I don’t think anyone mentioned the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. That certainly did not make it a more popular place. 70 dead, 400 wounded. It’s perception that counts.

Porsche Admits Trouble Ahead: “Our Business Model No Longer Works”

It's probably over for ICE vehicles in China. All they mean is China needs to import more crude oil to power them. Nope.

Las Vegas tourism seems to be in deep trouble

Every Casino had a sports gambling lounge. That’s a joke now because you can do the same thing in your living room with smart phone app. I’m thinking on-line gambling has knee capped Vegas.

2005 Ford Taurus Rear Brake Job for Drum Brakes

Turns out the drums I got on back order from Canadian Tire were coated on the outside surface. I degreased them and applied a couple of coats of silver engine paint. With the star wheel assembly retracted to its minimum length I was able to carefully center the shoes and slip the drums on with...

Another Suzuki. This one with a winch and guard. It’s not a mall crawler.

    bought nice 2011 Suburban K2500

I have the 2008 version. Highway driving really saves that transmission. I have 275,000 miles on it and am the original owner. Watch your oil pressure. I replaced the O ring on the oil pickup tube. It eventually gets brittle. Still have the original water pump and starter.

Half the boomers are gone. They are the ones who went to Vegas.

    Brake fluid refresh?

The Motive system has a large of volume ( as large as you choose). The brake master cylinder had fairly fresh fluid from a previous turkey blaster job. I pushed all the volume of the master brake cylinder out through the bleed screw into the bottle plus a goodly volume of new fluid, leaving the...

    Brake fluid refresh?

Although they aren’t stainless steel, the bleed screws I bought are a step up from the corroded ones. I used a tubing loop and plastic bottle with the tubing submerged in it. I used a Motive Pressurizer with the correct adapter to the Ford brake cylinder. I found it easiest to start the engine...

    Hulk Hogan Dead at 71

Half of the boomers will have died at an average of 78. Living a life like Hulk’s and making it to 71 is not anything regretful. RIP.

Walmart order… Valvoline Euro 5w-40 SN vs SP

When I purchased my 2008 3/4 ton Suburban, the current oil was SL. Then I kept up with SM, SN and now SP. The engine has 275,000 miles and doesn't use oil. Use the SN and sleep well. ;)

    Solar Lights

This might be a good place for my post. My last set of solar post lights had decent sized panels but cheap Ni-Cd 300 mAh batteries. Also, they were LED and not the old diode type. They finally died so I ordered these N-MH 1000 mAh batteries in the same 1.2 V voltage. The batteries were much...

How to recognize an overcharged AC system

If you are one of the guilty folks who slam in a can of AC charge to "top up", this video from FordTechMakuloco goes over how to figure out you went too far and overcharged the system. Enjoy.

    Brake fluid refresh?

I’m planning on using my pressure bleeder on my Ford Taurus but before that I plan to pick up some stainless steel bleed screws. The originals on my 20 year old Taurus are totally rusted.

    Good hydration drink alongside water?

There is also the issue of flavour aside from electrolyte. Some people just need flavour to keep them motivated to drink fluids in higher volume. There are sugar free flavourizers but then people will chime in about artificial sweeteners.

Wouldn’t you use the old shoes as they have the same curvature of the worn drums?
